Can this effect our children?

Hi guys, I do apologise if this has been discussed already, but is there and evidence/anecdotes that shed any light on whether or not we can pass this to our children? I am hoping to start a family in the next 18 months or so, but this is really causing me some anxiety, I just don’t want pass this on to possible future children.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Jfols,

I guess the right answer is I don’t know ! Some users (members of this forum) had children that are perfectly fine. And I never heard or read a horror story about finasteride children. It’s also a good news to see that nothing is documented relating to this also…

Personnally, as the dermatologist was talking about the potential side-effects, I decided to wait until my family was over before starting Fin, and I’m really glad I did.

As for you, you are still young, and if I was you, I would hold back as much as you can, just to give your body the longest possible healing time. If you can’t wait, I would inquire to my doctors and ask if there’s anything that can be done beforehand (test the sperm quality?).

Again, I think there is no problem, but at least you will have done what you can… good luck !
