Can I send money to awor's research team?

After reading the sad prostate novel insight/kos thread, I was sick to my stomach to see what a waste that was. How people were duped into spending tens of thousands of dollars on a prostate massager/scam artist is beyond me. At the very least, I hope the Kos guys enjoyed their trip to Greece, I heard it’s a nice country to visit.

To the point…instead of wasting all those precious resources on scam artists like “David Delucas” and “Dr. G” I was interested in channeling funds awor’s/an actual PFS sufferer’s way. If we could all pitch in a little–10-20 dollars a month, I figured that could help his team out. Hire a research assistant, extrapolate more data, buy needed equipment, whatever. I was part of a research team before finasteride got the best of me; I understand how important funding is when it comes to scientific research.

I think an PayPal icon or something similar is warranted to speed up this process and further add cohesiveness to the PFS community. If a PayPal is out of the question, awor can PM me [EDIT]and others intersted[/EDIT] with instructions how to send funds to his team. [EDIT]Maybe a ‘signup sheet’ would be a good idea[/EDIT]. I think we should allocate our resources better. Instead of spending money on a bottle of grapeseed extract, we could send it to the world’s one and only research team solely dedicated to studying PFS.

If awor’s team isn’t successful, I heard there’s this doctor in Greece who can cure PFS.

We are investigating supporting donations for a variety of initiatives and will report once there is more news on this. Thanks for your interest and support in trying to help research and uncover the root cause of PFS.

This sounds like a great plan…

Great!

Before this comes to fruition, I think this thread should be used for other members to express interest in helping out awor. We fully stand behind awor and his research initiatives, and not “David Delucas” “Dr. G” or some alternative medicine doctor from Sedona telling me my low libido is from a “leaky gut.”

Outstanding. I nearly stood up out of my chair and cheered. That was a seventy-odd page thread too. Ugh. Even worse consider guys like keepup, who has been suffering for a decade got worse due to this “treatment”.

Count me in too as one ready to donate once the non-profit is set up.

My dear friend Second Amendment
Awor was also suggesting we try dog anesthetics (procaine or ketamine i don’t exactly recall) to recover our hidden/inactivated or demethylated DNA sequences.

You seem to forget that and judge a well renowned doctor here as a scam-artist. Too bad that thousands of his patients haven’t filed some sort of suit against him till today and he is still practicing his scamish treatments.
If he was that sort of scam as you intend to say why don’t you file a suit your self? See if you win in court or the thousands who swear by his name
One did bring in a lawsuit about his use of multiple antibiotics and a tendon problem that he developed despite the doctors warning that he shouldn’t participate in a marathon… and he had to face more than 300 patients statements that had used them and had no side effects let alone improvement in their symptoms. In the end they also found that he was connected to another urologist practicing in Athens.

Any by the way, who told you that we all fit in the Awor’s side effect model? I never had lost my sensitivity in my penis, till the day i jumped on dihydrotestorone by guidance of a swedish expert and recovered it as soon as i stopped the specific hormone.

Plus since you seem to know so much about finasteride and its side effect profile and can grasp all our issues within a research about penile skin insensitivity then why don’t you explain to me how my adrenal glands got almost malfunctional post propecia??
Maybe they also suffered from skin insensitivity issues too? Maybe i should give a specimen of my adrenal cortex to the scientists to evaluate.

Have you asked Awor if he tried restoring his adrenal glands function before using testosterone that caused him worst side effects? Because i did, and never got a clear answer. And at what doses and for how long would someone need to do so that his adrenals would build up reserve tolerance to exogenous testosterone administration??

I guess you are only overtaken by empirical statements about way too much promising
research.

Noone disagrees with Awor’s research initiative and his putting of people’s hopes up, but the research must grasp a much deeper amount of info and point towards more thorough problems of our case. Instead what i ve seen till today is it has directed the whole problem to some penile skin insensitivity case.

NOTE: Severe penile insensitivity/foreskin numbness (loss of sensitivity to touch) is a prerequisite in order to participate.

Seeing the above again, i don’t think anything has changed regarding the researcher’s aim.
Nothing included in testing adrenal metabolites, inflammation parameters, prostate status or activity, urological symptoms, neither the thorough function of the HPA post-propecia.
Let alone any of the real big sexual side effects, penile testicular shrinkage, watery ejaculate, pains in testicles, etc etc.

Its a research based on foreskin numbness and penile insensitivity.

I never had that, but a series of prostatitis patients report it as a significant problem.
So maybe this research in the end will serve as a preparatory step to understand more about a possible post-propecia prostate problems, because the basic part of the problem lies in there, but you are too arrogant to understand it.

although I neve took finasteride but I will hapily donate, if needed every month. I have all the symptoms including numbness in my penis.

I say the same thing: although I never took finasteride but I will happily donate, if needed every month. I have all the symptoms including numbness in vagina.

I don’t know why you are so protective about the doctor in Kos, Greece. He is a doctor not a God.
Also Why are you so obsessed with prostatis?. it is just a side effect after the use of fin or saw palmetto just as brain fog, muscle wastage, sleep problem, general weakness , anxiety and depression etc are. Prostatis is not the main cause of our problem. Try to look at the big picture.

Lastly if you met some prostitis patients in Kos who claim to have numbness in penis and surrounding areas, how can you be sure that they had not used any over the counter snake oil like saw palmetto, chinese herbs dong qui or accai berry to treat their problem before coming to See Dr.G? these all herbs are potent 5 AR inhibitors and give the same sides as fin does.

“Ditto” Never took fin but have most of the symptoms, including numbness… “In my penis”. Haven’t had much luck with doctors. Would rather donate money towards research at this point.

I ve looked at the big picture for years and it didn’t help. Because in front of the big picture there is a smaller picture in my genitals, prostate and all over there that skews the big picture.
Its just difference of opinion here, nothing else. I say prostate and the urogenital track inflammation as a whole plays a significant role equal or higher than hormones in our case, you say not. I say you need a prostate treating before jumping to hormones you say not. So there is nothing strange about that, its democracy we are allowed to multiple opinions as long as they are not completely ridiculous.

I don’t protect dr.G as you feel but he helped me and many others. Every week i get calls from people saying that they feel better, what the hell. So did dr. Hertoghe. Why wouldn’t i say something about them. If you find a clearly better urologist or better endocrinologist than them two at this point i will gladly visit, but i am covered as of today.
