Here I must disagree, slightly.
The skin biopsies that were taken are being stored in such a fashion that multiple tests can be run on them, if nothing turns up in the initial investigation.
There are other areas that could be investigated using the samples from those men who have participated. For example (and I know Awor has a difference of opinion here ), looking at 5AR2 gene expression or enzyme function, or other metabolic pathways/processes.
However, looking at these alternative areas would only be required if nothing turns up in the initial investigations. Therefore, we must wait and see what results emerge, before we can assess what next steps will be.
