Call to action! Contact 60 Minutes to do a story on PFS...

All-

Imagine if we all start emailing 60 Minutes to “tell our story”? Why not! Sooner or later, someone there MUST acknowledge the huge story here. (Imagine Scott Pelley doing the story…the younger, vibrant reporter who may sympathize with men his age and younger, devastated by these 5ARI “poisons”.) Maybe even the “Big Pharmas” will get pressured into actually acknowledging this condition exists and start to find a cure!

I would think that the subject titles should all be somewhat similar (but not exact) to help catch the attention of the email screeners. Here are some ideas:
“FDA Approved Prescription Medications Permanently Devastating Men’s Sexual Health”
“FDA Approved Medications Causing Persistent (possibly permanent) Sexual Dysfunction”
…you get the drift.

In the email, simply post links to this site, the various Youtube videos, and the other recent publications. Also, please try to mention isotretinoin (Accutane) as a similar drug causing almost identical PFS symtoms.

Here is the only email I could find on their website: 60m@cbsnews.com
(If anyone can find the reporters direct emails, post it up)

Also, feel free to copy/paste this isotretinoin related Google keywords search which will help validate it’s similar side effect relationship to Propecia.

Feel free to post up if or when you send an email

Probably the most important links:

My email is in. Also, don’t be afraid to have family and friends send an email too. The more emails from different addresses the better.

P.S. Thanks for the link suggestions Mew.

When I watch a 60 minutes episode online the main advertiser is Lipitor (ie pharma). Does anyone watch the show on tv?

Things like this are always a good idea. A long shot to get them to run the story probably due to Merck’s influence but this is exactly the sort of thing we should be doing. Also a good idea to contact the reporters who cover the health beat for your local newspapers. I did this about 6 months ago to about 10-12 local papers as well as 5 or 6 consumer advocacy groups for the medical field. Only recieved one or two responses.

Great idea. However i think weshould all keep our “theories” out of this…getting them to focus on one theory that has not been proven could end up detremental in the long run.

Who said anything about theories?
Just promise me you won’t email moonman, thats all we need, some 15 year old goon who took saw palmeto and ended up with adrenal fatigue.

knock it off with the bashing of other members please. thanks.

OK, here is the confirmed “email sent” count to date…“1”
Yes, that’s mine. LMAO.

As hard is it is, let’s all try and keep our sense of humor during this ordeal. One day we’ll have a cure and we can all meet up at the Red Light District in Amsterdam (Holland, not NY!) and make up for lost time.

P.S. If you decide to send an email, here is a hint. Just hit the “Quote” button on Mew’s post and you can easily copy/past his links into your email. Don’t even worry about writing anything else, just send the dang links. The sites themselves “say it all”.
