Bulking up...

Anyone with weight/muscle loss had any success with bulking up again? How difficult was it. Did you use mostly protein supps? Were you able to get back to lifting heavy weights? Any advice appreciated, the deteriation of my body is getting more and more concerning.

I was really into weight training before all this. Now I have muscle waste all over and my stomach looks distended. It’s pathetic. Due to the fatigue and muscle weakening going to the gym has been out of the question.

It is 2 years since my crash and I can finally feel ‘the pump’ again. I have only been working out for 3 weeks now and I am putting on muscle. If I joined the gym and took whey protein then I could definitely get big.

Up until now, working out did nothing for me really. I couldn’t feel the testosterone boost and it often made me feel worse. I decided to start with lots of calisthenics and noticed that I had some libido after sessions.

There are days where PFS wins and no matter how hard I work out, I will feel shit and my stomach won’t look so good. Probably due to Estrogen. I just carry on regardless. Stopping masturbation altogether really helps. 7 day of abstinence raises testosterone levels.

I’ve been lifting weights pretty consistently since this whole thing began, and I find that I have to work really hard to maintain muscle. With many exercises I’m lifting less than I did a year ago, despite eating a protein rich diet.

At least exercise doesn’t make me feel bad, as it seems to do with many others here.

my arms got thin after years on fin. looks more like a lady’s arms. did’nt know fin cause this until i’ve read it here and some had the same problem.

no matter how i eat still the same.

Same here ben760, i had the same problem after a few years on fin. Thank god i have quit the drug.
Putting on muscle is very difficult for me.

I am doing some heavy weight/aggressive workouts twice a week and trying to eat ‘aggressively’ as well.
Eating lots of good wholesome food is an important part of bulking up.

Do you think you were able to put on muscle? Also how is your vascularity? I can hardly see the veins in my arms now. Seems like low Nitric Oxide. Ive decided to wait to lift heavy as I only crashed over a month ago. But Ive lost so much weight and muscle. Dont know how much more I can stand to lose! Its taken from my demeanor and confidence at work greatly. Not to mention the other, less apparent sides I have.

Muscle wastage is caused by lack of protein, low androgens. If you haven’t already get your levels checked.

I started with dianabol suplementation and that helps a bit… I think that unfortunatelly I will have to help my body to bulk up with suplementing exogenus testosterone…

Hey, id pump the breaks Michael. Your still very early. You may see more loss before you can see gains. Ive noticed my muscle loss has stopped, as far as i can see. Ive even gained back naturally with a regular lifting schedule. Your body is in a delicate state man, id avoid doing anything drastic, atleast for a year minumum. Be patient.

Just my advice, but Im treating myself as if ive suffered any other type of trauma to my body. Im taking it slow, focusing on regular exercise, nutrition, sleep, meditation, reading, and most importantly being patient and listening to what my body tells me.

Nerve damage also causes it, as do many other things.

I am unable to gain muscle mass and exercise that previously did it for me now leaves me with exacerbated muscle wastage.

Working out doesn’t seem to have any kind of negative effect on me (actually seems to help clear my head) and I appear to be building muscle fine. The only weird thing is that the veins in my arms used to really bulge when I would lift, now they don’t really do that. Not sure what that means.

Cap I think that your vains.dont.show like they used to due.to lower.dht.and higher estrogens ratio.

It’s been just over two years now since my crash and my symptoms on the whole have improved exponentially. In most respects i consider myself pretty damn near cured (and i had the whole range of symptoms). Anyway i’ve been having some success bulking up in the last two months since i started going to the gym but the two problems i do have are cortisol levels and gyno, F**CKING GYNO, my body feels great, it’s starting to pump out nice levels of testosterone again, i feel very “activated” but gyno has made me question whether i can carry out working out cos it’s really flared up since i started, it seems that anything that boosts testosteorne levels aggravates gyno. Anyone else experiencing a similar problem?

If you worried about gyno would run nolvadex for like 4 weeks 20 mg per day it might help your gyno . Nolvadex blocks estrogen attachements in your nipples , the best is to use it when gyno is starting to occur , but if you use it now you might get good effects.
There are scientific research regarding reducing gyno with nolvadex.
Other than that you need surgery …

Working out is an area which still has a wide range of results for me. Close to the crash (going on 7 months) it was awful, workouts made me more anxious than ever. About a month or two out, when my fatigue was really bad, they were the only thing that could temporarily lift it. But I’m not putting on any muscle the way I used to pre-crash. My moobs and gut have improved but I think this is more due to my strict dieting. I look lean, but if you squeeze me I have soft fat like a girl, I hate it.

So now if I work out it really varies. Sometimes I “feel” the burn in the muscle (good) but by a day or two later I feel like I’ve lost all gains. Other times I work out and feel really horny after. The worst situation (and this happened more near the crash) is that I’d work out, feel good for a few hours, then come down from it, and feel like my body PUNISHES me for it- today I woke up feeling like my muscles really diminished, had bone pain, cold hands and feet, it’s weird. I don’t overexert either! Despite recent improvements in my situation this is one area that eludes me. I am a bit nervous about going down the whole maca/tribulus route. I avoid estrogenic foods and try and eat testosterone-producing foods daily (which I also think helped with the moobs).

By the way, in the weeks after the crash I could not believe the speed with which my muscles deteriorated. It seems to have stabilized now, and at least I am sweating again when working out. No doctor will believe it, even after I show them before/after pics. Anyone with similar results as me when working out? I don’t push too hard, about 25 minutes every day, alternating cardio with weights sets.

I really hate how doctors won’t believe things, even when you provide them evidence. I had doctors tell me it’s all in my head and when I asked how anyone could mentally will their body hair to stop growing, testicles to shrink, and penis to bend, they quickly changed the subject. I think it’s less that they don’t believe me and more that they don’t want to do any actual work. They’re trained to throw drugs at symptoms and if it seems like they may actually have to do some work and treat the cause, they’re not interested. It’s disgusting. Before this whole ordeal I had a great amount of respect for doctors. That’s why I went against my gut and trusted the one that prescribed this shit to me. I will never trust another doctor for as long as I live.

yeah i cannot get a pump anymore in the gym no matter how hard i workout, its really annoying. I also do not get sore the next day or next 2 days after i workout like i used to. Its like i didn’t even workout, no pump, no soreness, just strange.

Also i haven’t lost any weight yet all my muscles are deflated and i look way smaller.

you need nitric oxide for the pump.
i am going to test this.
