This year, from February to May, was the period i felt closest to normal in 4 years. I actually felt so good that i didnt care my libido was not that good (although erections were fine). The only thing i was doing different, besides my diet (no sugar, no caffeine, no white flour), is that i was drinking two glasses of freshly squeezed Orange juice every day (about 1 liter or 16 oz ~). Orange is the best natural source of GABA you can find. I felt very calm day after day, effects were cumulative. Unfortunately, i developed acid reflux disease (which runs in my family, but i never had it before fin). So i shouldn t eat acid foods anymore. I found out broccoli is also a good source of GABA, and may give you a similar effect, and now i am wondering if that is the reason so many in this forum have reported improvement with broccoli. I ve seen many discussions here attributing this to broccoli inhibiting the conversion from Testosterone to Estrogen, but i believe the improvement could be also related to GABA. What do you guys think?
I have been taking a product called Pharma GABA, sold by the Life Extension Foundation over the past few weeks and have felt a bit calmer and more focussed overall - nothing dramatic though. My stocks are running out and the Health Authority people (ANVISA) aren’t allowing the products I order from the US into the country at the moment without a doctor’s script- we’ll see how that goes.
I am also drinking raw veggie juice in the mornings (including broccoli) - just started that last week. Too early to tell what effect if any it will have but can’t do any harm…
Good point about orange juice also - one to bear in mind…
