How have you been breaking your fasts? I read it should be one day for every three fasting days, but I’m not sure if you should gradually introduce different kinds of food during these days or if you should stick with fruits during that time.
On my last fast, I went to eat at a vegetarian restaurant on the second or third day and I got some powerful bowel movements that went as if they were never going to end and I got scared to the point that I took some diarrhea pills, which was probably bad because at the same time, it stopped the gut cleansing. In retrospect, it might have been because the restaurant food was too difficult to process for my digestive system at this stage of the refeeding.
Since I’ll be working 5 days after the end of the fast, I need to avoid this, but I also need to be strong enough and, if possible, not look like a prison camp survivor when I go back to work.
From your experience, can you gain weight and feel good enough with just fruits?
