Brain fog explanation

Sorry if it is a stupid question but how do you know if you have brain fog? What is the symptoms?
How is it feel like?

You’ll know

Yeah, I wasn’t sure myself if I had it when I first came on this site. Then people would mention it time and time again and I would have a momentary lapse in thought and be sure I had it. But it wasn’t 'til a few months ago that I was talking to someone at work and started forgetting what they were telling me seconds after they told me. Then my brain felt as if an actual fog and set in. I couldn’t think properly. Every response I gave was so unfamiliar, it was as if another person was talking for me. And there would be a delay from when someone said something to me 'til the point I understood it. It was as if I was high and I hadn’t smoked/taken anything to get that way.

It hits me the worst the day of exceptionally poor diet and after a night of poor sleep. It’s rare for me, but it does occur and is one of the most awful side effects out there. All I want to do when it hits is run away to be by myself and wait 'til it subsides…but unfortunately it only ever hits me at work and school, when I have a huge commitment to be there. It also hits sometimes when I’m being introduced to new people…I always feel so much pressure to perform and act normal but it almost never works out for me when I’m stuck in a fog.

I don’t know, I might be a minority who experiences the kind of fog I just described, but that’s my description. Not every day is a foggy day for me (thankfully) but the days that are, are very different from the days that aren’t. Hope this helps.

I had brainfog bad right after fin, then in the following two or three months. It seems to have gotten better i can definately say that. Im glad it has, because that was the mother of all symptoms. Still have anxiety, blunted emotions, slower cognition, but way better than before.
