Boston332,

Where is the associated ranges for Estradiol? I’ll go out on a limb and guess yours is going to be high. Your Free T is low and your SHBG is very high. Your T is likely binded and you probably have an E/T inbalance.

Of course your VIt D is low, no surprise there. Strangely your IGF-1 is very high. Unbelievable what this f’n poision does to men.

Yes, I believe Estradiol is on the high side. Im hoping high IFG-1 is a result of some of the Amino Acids Ive been taking. Might have to cut back on them. One of the Aminos I’m taking can raise IFG-1 I believe so I’ll cut back on that. Dr. Jacobs said people with high IGF-1 can develop face disfigurements like extended cheekbones or jaws. On the somewhat positive side my FSH and LH have normalized and Vit D has bumped up a tiny bit. Fun times, huh?

boston332,

I believe you said you were going on Clomid. Pay close attention to the way you feel. I believe clomid can raise estrogen levels. If your’s is already high you want to be careful with that.

Shippen has me on a very low dose- 15mg time release. But I gotta say I have felt like my face is burning up , nausous, and overall very shitty since starting the T3 and clomid.

sorry to hear that boston332. There face buring up could be more of a hot flash type feeling due to an increase in estrogen.

I seem to get the hot/flushed face right after taking the T3. Today was a day I had to up the dose according to the cycle so maybe thats it.

Boston332,

Personally I’m a little cautious about taking just T3 myself and my RT3 is confirmed high. It is quite controversial, most doctors think you should have a mix. Also, if you have an adrenal issue and low cortisol. YOur body can’t get the thyroid meds where it needs to go, so it really won’t be able to help or it might be a short lived help.

Are you even hypothyroid? I dont see any thyroid results
Also how come the range of your shbg changed?

Tim - nice find on the SHBG, maybe I copied it wrong. The girl at the dr.'s office copied it down, I might have misread her writing. (hopfully) I will call and see if I can confirm the correct range.

Dr. Jacobs also didnt understand why the t3 cycle. I asked Dr. Shippen about it and he wouldnt come to the phone. THe nurse said, “guys with PFS have messed up thyroids.” But, I do know Ive been pretty damn miserable sick since starting clomid and T3 on top of my usual sides. Heartburn, nausous - like stomach acid is about to flow up my throat and very weak. But, Im kind of afraid to back off the cycle now since just starting it. I dunno if its dangerous to just stop it.

Seems a strange treatment to me for you. I havnt seen your thyroid numbers but to put someone on t3 cause “fin guys have messed up thyroids” seems quack to me.
And your testosterone numbers are pretty good, so i dont know what hes trying to do to you here.
