Boston-Area PFS sufferer Meetup?

Hey guys, it’s been a grueling 4 1/2 years of dealing with PFS. I’ve had the displeasure of enduring the pain and disappointment of many invasive and unsuccessful procedures. But the best part of one such failed endeavor was meeting nearly a dozen other PFSers from all over the world (who I’m now in regular touch with).

E-mailing, PM’ing, and even Skyping with other PFSers are all helpful to give each other support, release some angst about our condition.

But actually meeting other young guys that feel exactly how I do, that are going through the same frustrations…well, that really was therapeutic. And now I have some new friendships and a new support network, as well as new sources of information and research and theories.

If anyone is from the Boston-area and would like to possibly meet up in person, please PM me. Let me know what area you live in, and your e-mail.

Quite often, I find myself in the position where I want to get away from the forum, away from the computer and research, and I force myself to go out with other single friends and pretend I’m normal. But then I go out and regret it; I feel frustrated that I’ve lost touch with feeling “normal” and healthy and cannot flirt and meet girls like everyone else. I hate staying in, I hate going out. Perhaps if we had other options like hanging out with people with the same condition, we can help our psyche. I know that hanging out with a group of PFSers this summer during treatment felt very liberating.

Let me know if you’re interested…

I would do this, but there has got to be more than just two of us that are willing. There about 15 guys from Boston here. Maybe it would help to pm them

i’m not from boston, but if there r so many pfs sufferers in boston maybe they could try to contact Prof. Traish and ask him if he is interested to help us in some way
i always hoped to involve him in research collaboration. he has the best curriculum i have ever seen
