body hair after quitting

Hi Guys,

I quitted the drug (propecia) 8 months ago. I face a lot of bad symptoms since then. However, I would like to ask you about body hair regain after quitting. Being on drug I have lost all scrotal hair and, in general, my body hair was shorter and thiner. But, after quitting, my body hair started to regrow and now (8 months after quitting) I have got much more body hair than in pre-finasteride time. Moreover, body hair is much longer now.

Do you also experience such body hair changes?

All the best, mik.

I seem to have more and longer chest and shoulder hair than before Fin. Obviously some hormonal change Fin has caused. One of the least of my worries though. Hoping it sorts itself out at some point.

Boston332 you were on fin alot longer than me. I think a histamine blood test could show something for you.
Mine is in range but i know it has been lowered due to my complete lack of springtime allergies this year, and my slight increase in body hair.

I am losing leg hair. My calfs are almost totally bald now.

With me, I started taking fin when I was 20 and my chest and facial hair had started to really come in on my cheeks, but once I quit and got these side effects, my beard hair hasn’t been growing as fast nor my chest hair… and my hair is still falling out but at a much slower rate. Im 23 so in my opinion I should be able to have a full beard right now, but yet I do see some guys who are my age or even older who cant grow hair on the cheeks so idk what to make of it… I’m a spitting imagine of my dad and he can grow a full beard no problem. Everything just really feels like its at half of what it normally should be… Again, I’m really thinking its a thyroid problem because My T and DHT just aren’t getting dispersed through my blood stream. Like there’s a bottle neck somewhere. which makes a whole lot of sense when you think about it… its not some kind of androgen sensitivity bullshit.

My calves are almost completely bald now. They were very hairy all the way to the foot. This is definitely a sign of the drop in T. Very sad.

Me too although for me total T is fine…

About having hairless calves, you should check out other guys even young guys and you will see that it’s fairly common. I was worried about the hair loss on mine, but then I noticed plenty of other 20 year olds have it.

My body hair has reduced a lot below the neck. Facial beard growth is slower. Head hair stopped falling out on fin and hasn’t restarted, or if so drastically less than pre-fin.

Body hair loss including also facial hair and scalp hair is also common in thyroid disorders.

The wierd thing is my body hair has only increased, despite having more or less all of the typical pfs symptoms. Gettin a blood test soon i think…
