Here are the tests after coming off of Dutasteride. Any introspection is welcome.
Testosterone Dropped From 992 four months ago (while some of the drug was still in my system) to 377 currently.
DHT: Will Follow Later
Testosterone, Serum: 377 (241-827)
Estradiol: 15 (0-53)
DHEA-S: 505 (280-640)
Cortisol: 17.8 (3.1-22.4)
Prolactin: 9.1 (2.1-17.7)
SHBG: 11 (13-71)
LH: 4.3 (1.5-9.3)
FSH: 1.6 (1.4-18.1)
For me the most interesting is your primary T level which is beyond maximum physiological range. Was this test done right after you quit dutasteride? Glaxo claims that Dut can actualy raise T level up to 15% but within the physiological range. If it was so, we seem to have the first Glaxo lie.
SHBG might be causing sexual problems only if it was high. SHBG (if high) makes less of your free testosteron available to be metabolized further. You can drink some green tea to increase SHBG, but green tea is also inhibiting 5 alpha reductase type 2, so I would not necesserly do it.
Normal testosteron level plus low estradiol indicates that there should be no abnormalities with DHT metabolism, otherwise you would propably have borderline high estradiol and high testosteron level. I suspect your DHT would be normal then.
Actually it doesn’t prove that they lied. Avodart is only approved for people over the age of 65.
