Blood Results Posted

I have posted my blood results. Can you guys check them out and let me know your opinions? Thanks.

Josh

Hi Josh,

Do you have the ranges the lab used for each of your tests?

Besides comparing your hormones to the optimal ranges on LEF.org, there are some that stand out right away that could be considered “secondary hypogonadism”. These are your:

  • Testosterone, Serum 475
  • LH 2.9
  • FSH 1.8

LH and FSH is very low… your T should probably be in the upper third of the range, ie, 600+, 700-800 being optimal.

Other hormones that stand out:

  • Free Testosterone (Direct) 17. 2

For Free T, LEF states:
20–29 years: 9.3–26.5 pg/mL
Optimal Range: 18–26.5 pg/mL for aging men without prostate cancer

… so you are in range, but just under the “optimal zone”… probably nothing to worry about.

Your Estradiol (19) is very good, but your TSH (3.364) is elevated and should optimally be no more than 2.1. I also had the same issue with my Thyroid TSH, check my hormones and you’ll see my TSH went from 4.54 after 3 months off, down to 2.33 after 8 months off.

Glancing at the rest of your values, things look good. How do you feel this days? What sides are you still experiencing? If you could post your story in the Personal Profiles section it would be a great help.

I’d say based on these values your goal should be to raise your T/LH/FSH production… either via natural supplements (ie try Tribulus & other T boosting herbs) or a T boosting protocol using drugs like Clomid or hCG… but I’m no doctor, and that’s why this forum exists… perhaps others have different suggestions.

Hope that helps,

Mew.

I agree with Mew.
Josh, Estradiol looks OK and LH is low like many in this group - this could be because your body doesn’t sense a big drop in T (your free T is not too bad and percentage is OK).

Your body may be slowly increasing T - you may find that if you have another test in 3 to 4 months your total T levels are above 500 (about the minimum you want). From memory I don’t think you have been off for long and it looks like you are slowly ‘on the mend’.

Reason

Please post your ranges as well, it’s hard to say if numbers are ok, without knowing the ranges.

I think your TSH may also be a bit high, but that also requires you to post your range.
