Best career for fighting PFS/PAS

If one had the ambition and desire to go back to school and start a new career, and wanted to maximize the chance of fining a cure for PFS/PAS, what would be the best job to pursue in order to make a difference in regards to PFS research? This is assuming of course, one has the aptitude and predilection for it.

Would becoming a research biologist or physician be a good idea, or is the current issue a lack of funds, with plenty of researchers studying the issue? Would becoming a lawyer be a better option in this case?

I realize this is a speculative question, but as a thought experiment, I just thought I’d ask in case anyone had an opinion.

I think being a journalist and a talented writer exposing corruption in all its forms is the most effective way to fight evil in this world.

How about a physician, who is also a talented writer, taking up the call?

I think there are so many fronts on which to fight, that you would be best sticking with something you find interesting that you excell at and applying those talents, skills, and credentials toward fighting for the cause. What matters most is that you fight in some way.

If you wanted to directly address the Dr. vs Biologist vs Lawyer question, my opinion is that there is no victory to be had through litigation until a causal relationship is firmly established.

The rich generate 45% of their wealth from the financial markets. It’s their biggest wealth creator.
We don’t need to go back to school we just need to raise the money Awor needs for an independent study.
Given the number of smart people on this forum how hard would it be to create our own investment group and pool our resources together to generate the funding.
Prior to my recent crash I was studying financial markets to better understand their mechanics so we wouldn’t have to start from the very beginning. I’m sure there are others here who could also add to this.
Ok maybe it’s a ridiculous idea but thought I’d mention it anyway :grinning:

We could start our own investment fund then put the profits every year into finding a cure that’s what other charities do. The more capital the more chance we have at beating this

Who is Awor? What does he look like? I’ve read his posts he is one of those clever people on this forum who people listen to and yet most of us if not all of us have never seen the guy. I know it’s a forum and anonymity helps people share how they really feel but it isnt working well imo. People would be more inclined to donate or the public would listen more if we could put faces to these names I know I would. Does the foundation or are any of the moderators just happen to be public figures?. We need more of them, embarrassed or shamed or not.

The answer of this question is simple, it doesn’t really matter what type of career the one would choose as long as it makes him happy and gives him a drive to carry on and fight. It is not the career what matters, it is the happiness, or at least some sort of happiness, as all of you already know that achieving happiness in this condition is almost impossible. Just pick up whatever will make you willing to fight and dream again about the possible bright future!
Cheers.

There’s people born blind with missing limbs I’m sure we can all find happiness. I’m absolutely fucked but I’m coming to terms with this way of life.
