Has anyone seen this? Or know how NMDA might be affected in us? could anyone see how this might have potential to help us like Sage?
I was actually looking at this the other day. Not sure what overlap if any with our condition.
I don’t think finasteride is directly connected to NMDA receptor activity although maybe somebody here will correct me on that. Green tea has l-theanine in it which impacts NMDA reactor and inhibits excitatory behavior. Drinking green tea has a little bit of caffeine but also chills you out because of the l-theanine.
Might be useful therapeutic tool because everything in the mind and body is connected so might help some PFS patients, but don’t expect it to be the “grand cure” everybody is hoping for. I’m more of an advocate for finding whatever works or makes you feel incrementally better at this point in my decade of living with PFS.
i look at all therapeutics as that- therapeutics, not cures
