Autoimmunity to DHT And a possible Solution for some of us?

Friend besides good results. your hair falls???

I will know in 3-4 months from now i guess. Then it will be time for the Big-2 Ketoconazole + Minoxidil. I am not touching Finasteride again for the rest of my life…

Mario, could you please tell us how much of your supplements (mB12, Selenium, …) you are taking right now? Im planning to start the same protocol. Thanks!

Hi Raberduck,

I am away for holidays i will post the complete regime with dosages in a couple of days

OK Here it is :

NAC : Currently 400 mg (2 x 200 mg every 12 hrs)
Vitamin D3 : 5000 IU
Zinc : 15 mg (also has Copper 750 mcg - micrograms)
Selenium : 100 micrograms
TrimethylGlycine (TMG) 500 mg
B12 (as methylcobalamin) 1000 micrograms
Magnesium 400 mg
Alpha Lipoic Acid : 250 mg

NOTE : Folate is an important part of the regimen in my opinion. I do not use Folate (should be ā€œas Metafolinā€) and also Phosphatidyl Serine since i do not have these two supplements readily available. Once i have them and try them out i will post my results.

Hello Mario, thank you for sharing your experiences and protocol. I’m also considering to buy the supplements and try this but can i ask you how you came to these exact dosages? And do you think the protocol would be beneficial for every PFS sufferer or only for some?

I came to this conclusion by listening to what my body says and also the the analysis i’ve done. For example the analysis has shown that i should get more than 4500 IU of Vitamin D3. Regarding NAC i am ā€œluckyā€ because of my tinnitus attacks. I started with 600 mg of NAC which is a pretty standard dosage and then found out the minimum dosage that would keep me ā€œattack-freeā€ (now taking around 300-400 mg).

I would suggest that you try the dosages i wrote. For some Vit D3 5000 IU might sound too much. You should probably have your 25 (OH)D levels checked out to see whether your D3 is in range.

You could also do the same for Zinc and Magnesium. Again, from my experience here are the most important supps for the regimen i am trying :

  1. NAC
  2. Folate + B12 as methylcobalamin
  3. Vitamin D3
  4. High Sugar Intake (see my analysis on the PFS Doc i prepared)
  5. Zinc, Magnesium

For the rest of the supplements i do not know. They all help the methylation cycle & production of Glutathione which seems to be playing an important role to our problems.

As for your final question : I really do not know. You should check whether you are hypothyroid and/or you have low Free T first. Fix those first (i am taking 62mcg T4 and also HCG twice a week) and then try fixing the rest.

There has been a case of a PFS sufferer who felt better just by taking high sugar intake and that gave me hope that perhaps more PFS sufferers could benefit from these actions.

You should try things out…i know these costs money but you should experiment. I have a huge bag full of supplements i tried and i’ve kept them as a souvenir…

Good Luck.

I agree with all the supplements you listed as good, but in my own experience High sugar intake was not good in my case. I actually gained about 15 lbs of weight for the few months I was juicing. I had about 2 juices a day with bananas, berries, apples, oranges, grapes, mango, you name it I used all the fruits. I even included spinach and kale in my juices too. I was working out almost every day as well. I actually felt pretty decent while juicing, but the weight gain was unbearable so I stopped.

Again that was just in my case, as one of my biggest sides is weight/water gain and gyno. But just thought I’d share my experience with high sugar intake (fruit is sugar just to put that out there). I will say though, I was having a bowel movement at least 2x a day while juicing to those of you who get constipated from PFS.
