Australian Dematologist Fails to Mention PFS...

In his Conversation column of Jan. 13, titled “Starting to thin out? Hair loss doesn’t have to lead to baldness,” Rodney Sinclair, a professor of dermatology at the University of Melbourne, writes:

“Men who start taking daily finasteride at the first signs of hair loss will not go bald. Plus there are no interactions with other drugs. But there is a small risk of sexual side effects such as such as erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory problems and reduced libido, which require careful management by an experienced doctor. An added bonus is that finasteride reduces a man’s future chance of developing of prostate cancer.”

That’s it: no mention of persistent sexual dysfunction, nor of the multitude of other PFS symptoms.

Please email Dr. Sinclair and let him know all about the horrors of finasteride:

And of course leave a comment on his story.

Great work, guys!

I can see we really ARE making an impact. On Dr. Sinclair’s story, someone named Philip Jennings posted a comment about PFS, then an Australian sex therapist thanked him – and added a link to the PFS Foundation website.

True, it’s a slow process, but it IS working.

One reporter at a time, one doctor at a time, we can get this done.

I always thought that you were Philip Jennings PR123. Like yourself, Philip is very active with regards to commenting on various media stories which cover propecia. His photo looks like Liam Hemsworth?

That is the reason why it should be mandatory to have a consent form to be signed by the patient at the doctors office, describing all possible side effects.
