At last - Normal Free T and Estradiol and how i did it

My story in few lines :

42 years old. Used propecia from 1998 through 2000. Developed gynecomastia but was “functional” most of the time. During the past 7 years the quality of my erections has gone progressively worse to the point i had no sex life. 2 months ago i was diagnosed from my endo as having “secondary hypogonadism” and that my hypothalamus was not responding to the low Free T i was having. I had high estradiol and began having prostate problems - i could sense that i had discomfort to my prostate and after 5 minutes i would have the urge to defecate. I figured that my prostate was enlarged and as stools were passing from a specific point, the (enlarged) prostate was being pushed by the stools.

Note that i never checked my PSA levels for this. My sleeping quality became progressively really bad. I had no problem in getting to sleep but i would wake up early in the morning (around 5:30 - 6:10) every day - sleeping around 5:30 hours each night. I receive T4 medication because of subclinical hypothyroidism which probably occured after i quitted propecia - around beginning of 2000 if i am not mistaken .

About the quality of my erections : Eventually i can “function” but this does not last for more than 5 minutes. Other times i can have no erection at all.

96 days ago i started writing down whatever i was eating, how i was feeling, how much i was sleeping and how my erections where (both in the morning and in the evening. I then analyzed
this information to understand what was going on. And i think i’ve found some interesting stuff.

Now :

  • I have no prostate problems
  • I have very good erections
  • I sleep much better but i am not quite to the point that i would like to be
  • My free T is in the mid-range and still rising
  • My E2 is down and still falling
  • I feel much better with myself.

What i did are the following steps (and i will explain why this is so)

  1. Eliminated Chicken consumption
  2. Eliminated mushrooms consumption
  3. Started eating Brocolli and/or Cauliflower and/or Cabbage every day
  4. Lowered sugar consumption
  5. Stopped eating chocolate
  6. Started taking testojack 200 by NOW Foods
  7. Started taking omega-3 caps
  8. taking 4000 IU of Vit-D3 for at least 15 days
  9. Started Weightlifting
  10. Started blueberry juice consumption (organic)
  11. Eliminated sunflower oil and switched to olive oil

Steps (1) - (2) - (4) - (5) were done because the analysis results showed me that when i eat those things i get worse

(3) Lowers E2 (because cruciferous vegetables contain DIM)
(6),(9) for Boosting T
(8) because the analysis results showed me that D3 makes me feel better
(7) Makes me feel better psychologically speaking - but doesn’t appear to be working for T
(10) Gives me even better erections as it increases NO but if i drink it every day the effect is lost for some reason
(11) This was not due to analysis results but i am eating olive oil to provide good fats. I Always eat Brocolli, Cauliflower and Cabbage with lots of olive oil.

Here is a part of the analysis :

                   Class

So for example, this table shows that when i ate mushrooms (look where line is ‘true’) , 8 times i had a Good erection in the next morning while 13 times my erection was Low When eating chicken, 7 times i had a good erection on the next morning and low quality erection 22 times. Meat appears to be ok.

Mushrooms require a closer look. They have immense anti-estrogen ability (i confirmed it with blood tests) BUT they also lower DHT (search it on Google) so this is a big no-no. I remember that for some time i was eating mushrooms every day for a about a week hoping that it would lower my E2 -i hadn’t done my howework well regarding DHT- and then i got tested for E2. When i saw the blood tests my Estradiol was really low but i then understood why i wasn’t feeling better :
Because (probably) DHT was low too.

In the same way i managed to find some rules to follow and started doing the steps i outlined earlier for at least 2 weeks.

Sugar is also interesting. I had several times blood tests and have performed a glucose tolerant test and my response to glucose is very good so i do not have even the tendency to become diabetic. Regarding Chicken : Could it be that chicken increases Estradiol because of all the hormones in it? I do not know but it could be a possibility.

I feel great and i hope that this lasts. I am not aware what damage propecia did to me but i can assure you that i had low-normal T for years until 2.5 weeks ago. My free T is now mid-range and this has never
happened to me! Never! In the past i tried taking Testosterone Boosters (TestoJack 100 and OXO-6 which was later banned) and doing weight lifting but i had no success. I am fairly sure that instead of my T rising, my E2 was rising but this was not confirmed by blood tests. I do remember that i would feel better for 1-2 days and then my libido would crash (T-> E2 ?) .

Another thing that i noticed was that i had to drop E2 below a certain level to feel better. Mine was high but was within limits and i had to drop it to mid-levels to start feeling better.

Feel free to ask any questions. Guys, please TRY all the above if you have high E2 and low T. Pick another T Booster if you like or do not use a T Booster at all. I do not endorse any NOW Foods product but on the other hand
i had to say what exactly i did.

I plan to have tests in 2 weeks from now to see how i am going and i will post all results for you to see. Hopefully the numbers will be even better by then.

Good Luck!

Thanks for explaining your methodology and interim conclusions.
