Asking doctor for Cialis/Viagra

In a few days I’ll be going to the doctor for a general check up.

I want to ask for Cialis prescription, but I am a little unsure of exactly what to say. I’m sure it sounds lame, but thinking of exactly how to bring up this need feels a little awkward. Years ago I got one from a doctor when I was first seeing someone about pfs and it really sprang naturally from the conversation. This current doctor is someone I’ve only seen once more than a year ago, and at the time I brought up pfs side effects and he was very dismissive about it all.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice. Just be blunt? Say, “I want a prescription for Cialis. I’ve been under a lot of stress lately.”?

Did it. I asked to be written a prescription for cialis. The doc asked me why. I told him that I took hairless drugs years ago, got side effects from them, and when I quit a long time ago I never felt like the side effects went away. He commented that it was interesting and then he said that kaiser doesn’t offer cialis but he would give me something like viagra. He then warned me that it could develop into a psychological crutch for me, and that I might not be able to perform psychologically without it. I quietly listened and did not complain.

Filling the prescription at their pharmacy was a little more awkward. The female pharmacists filling it wanted to talk with me about it and warn me about stuff. I cut her off early and said I had experience with the medication. She seemed surprised and said ok. I took it and got the hell out of there.

Good thing in the future I think I will be able to refill it online and just pick it up.

Yeah Def not psychological. Is so circular. They tell you that the med can’t possibly have done anything long term to you. But if you insist and tell your symptoms they will say it’s in your head. How ridiculous
