Implication of the “StAR” protein in neurosteroid production:

An essential component in steroid synthesis, the steroidogenic acute regulatory protein, is expressed in discrete regions of the brain

Thank you for posting this!

You’re welcome!

It is good to know that professionals with extensive knowledge and a pre-existing interest in the matter-at-hand are involved in the PFS research.

Unfortunately these papers say almost nothing about how neurosteroids directly effect sexual function, other than to confirm that these enzymes are localised in places like the amygdala that control libido.

Are you referring to this Dr King? If so what are you basing this on? Where’s the evidence that he is involved in any study or that any study will even be looking into neurosteroids?

There’s an article here that links Endorphins with Libido. Most of the patients cured their lack of libido after using Naltrexone. For what its worth it did nothing for me but still interesting;

Please read the section “Neurosteroids and Sexual Behavior”

It was an inference based on Dr King’s and also Dr Dolores Lamb’s affiliations being listed as “Scott Department of Urology and/or Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX” in at least 3 of the articles, the most recent one published in 2013.

This means Baylor at least funded his work on those neurosteroid studies.

Besides Dr.King, I was speaking of Baylor’s doctors and their staff in general.

If you need more evidence of the education, qualifications, and previous research publications of Baylor’s doctors:
