Aricept raises IGF-1 Levels

I read a couple of articles online that states Aricept raises HGH levels…I do recall someone on these forums who took aricept and has regained his sex drive…I’m assuming he didn’t know that he had low HGH levels? Maybe this can contribute us to get better…

Curious to see if Dr. Crisler prescribed this to see if people feel better.

anonnn1 - I have used aricept semi-regularly the last 4 or 5 months. Really low doses. I found you post interesting. Here is a link to a study on Aricept and GH and IFG-1 increases with Aricept:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1576 … stractPlus

Note that the study used 5 mg a day, which is considered a low dose for Alzheimers patients. I have only used about 1 mg/week. I would be careful using high doses of this. That being said there are several things I do like about this drug. It does boost my sex drive, but at the levels I take it it is only a modest boost. It helps me sleeps on occasion, and it makes me think clearer. At higher levels, even 1 mg a day I had issues.

This study also mentions rivastigmine, which I found on a online pharmacy for cheap. I haven’t tried it, but it is the same class of drugs as Aricept. Here is another study on GH increases with rivastigmine:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1267 … rom=pubmed

Has anyone tried rivastigmine?
