Are my panic attacks PFS?

Hi…

I’ve had two panic attacks in the last month. The first was caused by taking an anti-depressant called Sertraline or Zoloft. Panic attacks are apparently quite common when you take this drug, so I attributed it to that. Yesterday I had another panic attack, this time I had to go to hospital until I was able to calm down. I drank a lot at on Saturday and often get bad anxiety the following few day after drinking, but nothing as bad as this. I don’t know if the Sertraline/Zoloft triggered an anxiety issue, or whether it’s related to PFS. It may also be a lack of sleep recently, or an underlying anxiety issue, or combination of everything.

Any experiences with this? Would it be inaccurate to blame this on PFS if there are many other factors involved? I’ve never had panic attacks before this and it’s been 2+ years since I took finasteride.

Your profile story doesn’t state mental side effects so i m guessing it would be pretty unusual for them to commence 2 years after quitting. Most of us see a fairly accute onset of the mental sides after quitting, usually right after we crash. I think you are on the right track when you pintpoint the SSRI. Stay drug free if you are getting reactions to anything you are taking.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I agree. I’m staying away from drugs.
