Anything safe for sleeping?

After one eye laser surgery I developed Tinnitus, I believe it was caused by the ototoxic antibiotic eye drops I was instilled after the surgery called Tobramycin. I have been sleeping very badly for weeks and I am in a lot of pain I stay awake at night.

Can you suggest something safe to sleep on? The otolaryngologist prescribed Ritrovil is it safe? Alternatively, do you say that I can take Melatonin?

Melatonin is safe but you only sleep for like 6 hours on it

I can just vouch for what I use myself.
I’ve been taking 10mg of melatonin for about 3 years now, I also started taking a tablet of Phenergan which I think is an antihistamine.

You might have to get a prescription for the Phenergan but night time flu tables that contain Diphenhydramine should help you sleep.

I’ve no idea how safe this stuff is to take long term though.
