Anyone here improve their brain fog/cognitive/vision and digestion issues? Need some support on this topic thank you guys for your time 🙏🏼

Hey fellas, hope you’re all doing well. Bare with me as I’m still new to all this. I’ll try to explain as best I can.

Today is day 28 after stopping topical finasteride. I crashed literally the same day so I guess 28 days post crash to be accurate. I used the topical spray (0.1% finasteride mixed with 6% minoxidil) for 37 days and stopped due to some sexual sides.

My sexual sides are on an incline and have gradually increased. I’d say I’m about 50% better sexually. Occasional morning wood, erections are better, sensitivity is slowly making progress as well as slight increase in ejaculate and orgasm.

My question is for anyone on here who has experienced their sexual sides improve, but vision/brainfog/cognitive and digestive issues persist after finasteride? Any advice on how to improve these symptoms?

Since my sexual sides seem to be improving does this mean that my body is healing and the mental sides and digestive sides will heal also? Anyone on here know/have or are familiar with anyone who’s sides got better after they noticed their sexual sides improving?

Any advice is extremely helpful I know I’m not at the 3 month mark yet but I’ve been battling everyday and still feel hopeless to some regard.

Thank you again

Christian

Hi Christian,

Sorry that you’ve found your way here. It’s a very scary time, I know. You sound like you’ve got a good attitude going on at the moment, that’s good.

While we have some people here with side effects in different areas and some which remain and some which resolve, it’s worth highlighting the very positive news that you have already seen improvement. You correctly state that it’s not been long enough to say if you have persistent side effects.

Ultimately, you need to give it a bit more time. My personal suggestion would be to avoid stress, get some sun if it makes you feel good (don’t if it doesn’t!) try and get as much sleep as you can and avoid the use of any substances to try and fix yourself.

You may or may not find conflicting advice elsewhere. Ultimately, at the moment we don’t know what the right thing to do is, but we do know that lots of people have worsened their condition by using various substances recommended to help with this. Stay away from all 5AR inhibitors, probably for life.
