I know I had mine tested during this propecia mess and the numbers indicated my thyroid was off. Anyone else?
Yup, check my numbers in the Hormones & Blood Tests section… TSH went from almost 5 (3 months off) down to 2.33 (8 months off).

Yup, mine is messed up too. I hope this is what is causing my brainfog.
My TSH is pretty normal around 1, but my Free T3 and T4 are both low. I just started Eltroxin (a T4 only medication) 14 days ago, and are currently working my way up in dosing.
I suggest people to get their thyroid tested cause I think propecia cause a lot of our hormones to be out of whack. Like it made our pitutary malfunction…

I quit coffee about a month ago in order to give my adrenals a break, also trying to exercise more but not too much, dont want to over do it. I think for now I will adress the thyroid and adrenals and hope things will follow after they get stabilized.

Youve got to check that site out that Legenden posted, lots of good info there. You may be subclinical AND have adrenal issues. I know propecia did a number on both my adrenals and my thyroid. Its too bad none of us have test numbers BEFORE we took propecia as a reference.
i had an ultrasound of my thyroid done. it showed that i have a nodule on the thyroid. i also had some blood work done, but im not sure the outcome of that.
had mine checked. it was fine my billirubin wasnt great though
My Thyroid and billirubin are off as well. both T3 & T4.
My thyriod was also off after quitting. It has since normalized. Tsh went from about 3.0 when coming off to around 1.0 today.
My thought around this are just that the increased estrogen we had when coming off raise the tsh as we needed more thyriod hormones to compete with the increased estrogen. Thats my docs thoughts aswell. alltho he dont pay it any attention really.
My free thyriod hormones are actually very high today and was even higher when coming off propecia.
My TSH levels did not alter much while on propecia. 10 months after stopping the drug was at 1.87. Was very close to that before starting the drug. I was going to a very good endo at the time and he didn’t change my dosage after going off propecia. I would recommend everyone here get tested, make sure to get T3 tested along with a TRH Test. Awhile back after just beginning thyroid treatment I had a TRH test along with other standard thyroid testing my doctor raised my dosage and put me on T3 due to the results.
When I was hypo my TSH was almost at 9 and I was having some ed problems. When I got on synthroid/cytomel the problem went away and was rock hard. Guess I’m back where I started because of propecia which really sucks. I will say that my libido, ed problems are way worse now than they were when I was having some pretty bad thyroid problems.
