My urologist gave me a bunch of Flomax today for prostatitis. After taking Propecia I will no longer take meds that I don’t research first.
Thanks for any replies.

I would suggest you do your due diligence. Flomax from what I understand is an alpha blocker which is often prescribed for BPH, not Prostatitis (which is often treated with antibiotics).
It does not shrink the prostate but can still obviously have side effects, since it relaxes the muscles of the prostate and can have an effect on blood pressure. As well, it will likely affect ejaculation (ie, give you retrograde ejaculation) and may impact sexual function.
Some info:

Potential side effects you can read here: rxcarecanada.com/Flomax.asp?prodid=2712
It is listed as a co-treatment, after antibiotics, on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostatitis
Some concerns about it affecting the eyes:

Some others’ experiences with it:

Looks like some of the symptoms that we experienced on Finasteride. Since it can mess with the prostate (which is what Fin did) and very likely sexual function, I wouldn’t touch it.
I’d request antibiotic treatment first… or try the brocolli treatment before doing that.
