Any side effects I should know about before starting hCG treatment?

After seeing Dr. Richard Sherins, an endocrinologist in Washington DC, I am going to begin getting hCG injections.

Has anyone had any luck with hCG, or any side effects for that matter?

Can you elaborate some more as to how this doctor came to prescribe you hCG? How did you find this doc, btw?

Has he heard of Finasteride-induced problems before? What are your side effects/hormones, what did you tell him/info did you present to get him to consider trying hCG?

What kind of dosages/schedule is he considering?

If you search for my previous posts, you will find all my background info, blood tests, etc.

As to how I found my doctor and why he chose hCG, I will update you on that within the next 2 weeks because I’m really busy! thanks

Yes, I searched and found your hormones. Looks like you have hypogonadal T levels and low DHT to boot. Looking forward to your insights about how the doc agreed with you to try hCG and also if he has any insight into how Finasteride caused your issues.

As for side effects, I believe Dr Crisler likes to use no more than 250iu-500iu 3x a week. Doses like 5000iu are typically only used to invoke fertility, and for short periods of time because huge doses like that can desensitize the leydig cells in the testes to LH (hCG mimicks LH) and essentially leave you back where you started, with desensitized nuts.

If he suggests 5000iu longterm then I’d be wary.

Hey guys - I forgot to update this post. I never tried the hCG treatment because my doctor said my testosterone levels were normal “beyond any doubt”. You can see my blood tests results in my previous posts.

dont take for more than 16 days, can have an adverse effect after this time
