Antibiotics to avoid?

Hivemind,

I ended up with a severe ear infection that they tell me will not go away without an antibiotic. I’ve avoided pharmaceuticals for years now, but looks like that streak must end. Are there any antibiotics that I 100% must avoid?

Tetracycline family, e.g. doxycycline
Fluoroquinolones, e.g. Ciprofloxacin

Sorry to hear that man. If I were you I would avoid all fluoroquinolones like the plague. Inquire about antibiotic ear drops. That might be less harsh on your system. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks all, got some good ole’ amoxicillin. Took it a few times already and so far so good.
