Androgen Deprivation Therapy Induces Vitamin K Loss in Men

Im going to lump a few studies together here. One will also show why you cant supplement this directly when it comes to k2 or menaquinone.

Vitamin K epoxide reductase regulation of androgen receptor activity

Reduced vitamin K synthesis linked to heart disease

Vitamin K2 intake from diet did not appear to contribute to subclinical atherosclerosis, suggesting that small intestinal dysbiosis and low bacterial vitamin synthesis were fundamental.

One example of possible dysbiosis, how microbes compete.

Reduction of vitamin K concentration by salivary Bifidobacterium strains and their possible nutritional competition with Porphyromonas gingivalis

It’s because DHT is a potent agonist to osteogenic genotypes.

Being naturally heavy boned is one of the most dimorphic masculine features, which is result of a high DHT receptor density/sensitivity aswell as the high prenatal T.

I think im going to get this test.
Its worth checking.

Osteocalcin, Serum

Elevated levels of osteocalcin indicate increased bone turnover.

Serum OC levels at 12 months (7.82 ± 2.65 ng/ml) were significantly higher than those
at baseline after the start of ADT

Just to update. I did get this test. It will probably be about a week for the results with the holidays.

Just to follow-up, this blood test came back well within range.

As a warning tag to this… (sorry) … some guys tried K2 and ended up worse off. Everything gotta be researched first. One guy killed himself after getting worse from K2.
