I remember when the yahoo group started…There was like 5 or 6 of us.

As sad as I am that we have not found a cure yet, I’m happy that we are making some progress.

What really saddens me however is the lack of response the FDA and Merck has given us over the past 8-10 years. They have ignored us like the plague. This actually pisses me off more than anything. I get sad, and then I get pissed.

I urge everyone to write a letter to the White House. Merck has been getting away with this for far too long. Obama needs to know about this.

What do you guys think?

I agree.

Sending a letter might help, but getting on tv would be far more better! The ONLY real way to blow ass kickin’ smoke up merk’s ass is to get a bunch of us to get together/organize and get on a show. We can wear masks or whatever on the show and have them disguise our voices…
I’ve already written to 60 minutes, but even local tv would be great and then post it on you tube.

I also suggest a yearly convention at a hotel/nice spot where we can all meet and organize. A weekend would be ideal for this. Even if a handful of us could meet this is a major start!

I’m telling you guys we need to organize already!

I alrady wrote we have to be active. We have to write news papers, university professors and have some kind of demonstration. arrange some organisations etc.

I strongly suggest mew create a “graphic text box” with a “news and events” section. The homepage should clearly contain this. It is still a great page, but if we are to organize and exchange ideas we need this clearly inserted on the homepage. I also suggest a complete website overhaul, so that it looks like a website rather than a forum.

The more streamlined the site, the easier to get peoples attention and organizing is VERY important for us.

Thanks for the idea but unfortunately the forum software does not allow such a concept.

In meantime, if you are interesting in organizating an event, I suggest doing so via a seperate thread.

In future this forum will likely be integrated into a larger website which will have the ability to do the functions you suggested.

Will keep people posted on status of such a project as it is in the cards, but will take time and likely not until middle of this year or later.

I think a better idea than writing to Obama would be to contact men’s health magazines like Maxim. I would think that writers for men’s magazines would be highly interested in an issue that pertains to both hair loss and sexual dysfunction. Thoughts?

Indeed. New victims are turning up daily. I still cannot believe that millions of men are taking this drug. I really, really hope that more things surface over the next year. A lot of progress has been made recently!

Indeed. New victims are turning up daily. I am literally blown away by the fact that millions of men are still taking finasteride given the huge amount of evidence that has shown up over the last year, which proves that it is poison.

Have you guys had a look at how many hits some of the threads get on this forum? i only realized yesterday - fucking thousands man.

Bluecloud, Are you Korean living in Korea or Are you of some other Nationality? I’m just curious as I have seen more than a few foolish posts about how this drug likely only effects men of certain ethnic groups or age. I have never believed this for a second.

I think that’s absurd because it’s physiological, so age or ethnic group should have no bearing on it’s destruction. It kind of reminds me of the tobacco industry’s claim that only certain with predisposed problems would have health problems as a result of smoking.

It would be great to see a statistical study from this site that shows how many men had crashed upon quiting the drug or saw an increase in side effects once they quit. Is it 60%, 70%… I think this is particulary important because the majority of the damage the drug seems to inflict occurs when most men quit. So if you have millions of men still taking it, how many more victims will surface as they quit, once more of medical studies surface.

I think most men who have taken finasteride for over a year will probably have had a period where they quit the drug for various reasons - forgetfulness, no access, side effects etc. Unfortunately, i think us guys who crash or get worse off the drug are quite simply a small minority, as hard as that is to believe considering what this stuff has done to our bodies.

Black men might be less likely to take Propecia for the simple fact that the shaved look for a black guy is accepted socially and even praised as a ‘cool’ look. So it might not be such a popular drug among black men. I doubt there is an ethinic group that is less vulnerable to the side effects.

This was a really good idea. UK/ Europe/ US guys need to get together in there respected countries and think of ways to get media attention. If we do it in numbers i guarantee we will get something big!

Or if for example guys in the US get a big show they could arrange calls on the show from other victims around the world and we can all say how it’s affected our lives.

Am I alone in noticing a lot more guests on the forum in recent weeks? Like it used to usually be ten or so on the forum at any one time now it’s quite often double that.
