In the list of recommended tests I didn’t see allopregnanolone (ie 3α,5α-tetrahydroprogesterone or THP) mentioned. It seems that this test is technically possible because it’s used in research, but has anyone got a doctor to order it?
It’s not possible to test for commercially:

"Other GABAergic 3α,5α- and 3α,5β-reduced neuroactive
steroids, derived from DOC, dehydroepiandrosterone
(DHEA), and testosterone, are known GABAergic that may be elevated by HPA axis activation in humans.
Unfortunately, simple inexpensive analytic
methods to measure these steroids are not available"
i would like to see a few pfs guys results in this test. What a shame its not available.

But couldn’t e.g. Dr Irwig or Dr Traish perform such tests as part of their future studies of the PFS? Being researchers they ought to have access to non-standard tests. Actually, I think such non-standard tests will be required to find out what causes the PFS. All the standard tests have already been taken by PFS sufferers without finding anything that explains the PFS.
I think Allopregnanolone along with other GABA related substances would be prime candidates if non-standard tests are to be taken.
This lab in Paris has a “urinary pansteroid” test that measures allopregnanelolone.
It also measures 5ar activity, testosterone, and dht, 3a Diol G.
$200 and I do not believe you need a doctor to order it.
