I’m assuming you’re talking about Shippen and Crisler? If so, what would make you say something like that (“scam artists”)? Bottom line is at least Crisler has publicly gone on video to voice his opposition to the drug, and Dr. Shippen actively speaks out about it at various conferences he attends, helping give some awareness to our cause.
Due to their profession, their words hold a lot more weight than do ours, as laymen. Despite wether they can ultimately “help” or not (since each person’s case and hormones are different, and no guaranteed outcomes from treatment), I’m sure they would find comments as being referred to as “scam artists” more than a bit insulting. Where do you come off saying this stuff?
Robertino, look – if you’re looking to try a HTPA restart protocol via Tamoxifen, hCG or Clomid, those 2 are probably your best bet because at least they will treat you and monitor levels etc, whereas other docs will just laugh in your face and dismiss your issues as psychological. If you are more concerned with the mental side effects/GABA-A/Allopregnanolone connection, then they are probably of no use to you and you should investigate via neurology or neuro-endocrinologist/biochemists as you have with Dr. Aronin.
Sorry that you are having money troubles… if you can’t afford it, that’s unfortunate, but seeing many have to pay for healthcare in the USA in general… not sure why bringing this up is a factor. In your individual case it may be, but for others it is not. That’s just how the cookie crumbles, unfortunately.
Great, good luck, keep us posted. Send him some of the materials from the Finasteride Studies section, maybe that will pique his interest and further backup your claims.
