I’m wondering the same thing?
Finally!!!
I had an appointment with Crisler. He is great. Finally a doctor who listens and understands me. Best money i have spent yet.
When i arrived there was a Gentlemen from Seattle that flew in to see Crisler and truly believes Crisler is the best in the nation. Also an online referral.
Dr Crisler ordered a rein 24 hr urine test to get a picture where my hormones are throughout the day. After we get this in he will propose a treatment path.
We spoke regarding fin and he started talking about lots of other post fin guys having similar issues and he was very understanding of how hard it is to get some help and also mentioned how unfortunately it is that we have to go through so many doctors before reaching him. Even if i did not know about propeciahelp, he seemed like he could relate to what im going trough and told me im not alone. When we spoke about fin he was not surprised it sounded like he really understands our problem and is willing to fix us! For once in my life im not crazy!
When i was finished i met a very young guy in the waiting room, he must of been 15-17 and had an appointment with Crisler after mine. He flew in from Virgina i believe. We got into a conversation and i learned this guy is coming in for the same problem. FINASTERIDE!! hes from another forum. He had lots of hair so i suspect he might of been using Fin for a while. I didn’t get into specifics but i got his user name and will be contacting him. For the first time since this started i met someone in real life going through the same thing that i am going through, this alone is a huge step forward - im not alone. This visit in itself is making a big confidence boost to my recovery effort
I recommend Crisler to anyone trying to recover, cant wait to get my test done so i can see what direction Crisler takes me.
THIS WAS WORTH THE 4 HOUR DRIVE EACH WAY FOR ME.
I FINALLY FOUND MY DOCTOR
That’s great Razor, really good to hear. What’s this other forum this guy’s from? I didn’t realize there WAS another forum?
A 15-17 yr old’s life ruined by this drug… this must be put to an end.

razorxtr, How was your rein 24hr urine test? I have read you are suffering from Adrenal Fatigue derived from Propecia. I think it is my case as well. On an anual medical check at my company doctors found a sinus arrhytmia.
Has Dr Crisler recommended you any medication, vitamins, aminoacids?
Thank you for responding
What happened to this thread? Did anyone get cured? I would be willing to fly out to see this guy, but first I would like to know if anyone has been helped…
People have gone to see Dr. Crisler for many years, he understands that people are suffering from this. Unfortunately, no one has been cured by him or anyone else yet.
It still would have been interesting if the original poster kept us posted on how his treatment was going.
Unfortunately Boston, despite being asked a few times by members to update us on his progress/treatment protocols as outlined by Dr Crisler, has yet to do so.
Not sure what the issue is that is preventing him from posting an update.
I would like to learn from Dr. John Crisler propecia patients. I am in Europe so i only would risk a trip if i have a little hope of succes. Unfortunately as time pass and i search internet related topics, more i discover that no one has been cured of this propecia/finasteride sindrome. I think our best option is forget all the “internet gurus doctors” like Dr. John Crisler, Romeo Mariano, Eugene Shippen… and try to explain our case to a reserach group in some university. Perhaps someone who is researching in prostate cancer area since our problem is related to a prostate medication.
I suggest we could try to manage a meeting of propecia sufferers to discuss this.
Hope
If you want, you can check out my thread in the “member stories section”. I’m going to keep everyone updated on my treatment, if it works for me, you can fly over to Michigan to see the doctor. I can recommend a hotel for you and everything because I’ve already made the trip.
Thanks for your attention Joetz. I think there are several people on this forum and other that went to Dr. Crisler, but no one over the internet heard about what he thinks about our condition. I already read that Dr. Shippen sentenced the big problem propecia is but no one Doctor said that he has cured a propecia patient. Simply nobody wants to assume that and we all dont wanna give up. At this point i think we must take action to receive some attention for the scientifical comunity to do research about our problem. I think that in the prostate cancer research field our cases must have some interest and open clues about prostate disease like dht binding, androgen receptor polimorphism, gene expression, etc. I think money is not the problem. I think if we can legalize our group in somekind of association it will be easier to take a group action. Many people have spent large amounts of money in doctors, tests, etc, with no help. Maybe it’s time to everybody assume your ignorance about this and get in touch with real scientists who can try to understand what hapen.
Let’s set the record straight: there is no “cure,” and there probably won’t be one any time soon. That does not mean that recovery is not possible; it just means that, although we’re all suffering from the same or closely related problem, there is no silver bullet that will fix this for everyone. In other words, there’s no guaranteed, magical go-to pill/protocol/solution that you can go get from a doctor and then flip back to your pre-fin self. If there were, this whole forum would be rushing over there and we wouldn’t really have to keep posting here.
That said, highly qualified specialists like Dr. Crisler can still help. Why? Because the individual details of post-fin syndrome vary widely. Certainly, we have a lot in common, and the major blanket theories that we’ve come up could explain what happened to most all of us to some extent or another. But at the same time, there are differences. Some guys get back to normal after 2 years of doing nothing, other guys have seen no improvement in over a decade. Some guys respond well to broccoli treatment, others don’t. Some guys have debilitating brain fog/sleep issues, others escape nearly unscathed. Some guys see huge benefits from certain supplements/protocols while others will claim that they made absolutely no difference to them. Some guys have had positive experiences with certain doctors, while others haven’t gotten much out of it at all.
Anecdotal evidence on this forum suggests that Dr. Shippen claims to have cured at least some propecia sufferers. What exactly Shippen means by “cured” is open to interpretation, but I highly doubt he’d be simply lying. As far as Dr. Crisler goes, I think it’d be misleading to say that he “hasn’t cured” anyone. Beyond the fact that there’s simply no way of knowing this (I mean, how many “silent sufferers” are there that never even get to this forum or simply don’t post - particularly those that eventually recovered?), I can think of a few members had positive experiences with Dr. Crisler. The user Galapagos, for example, went through a tamoxifen regimen with Dr. Crisler that he discussed on this forum. It had a positive effect and, together with time, seems to have left him recovered: his last post was over a year ago, and in it he claimed to no longer be concerned about “all this”… that he had seen continued improvement in terms of libido and erections. He doesn’t seem to have been on the forum since.
From all I’ve read on here, I personally think that visiting someone like Dr. Crisler would be worth it. What it ultimately comes down to is not that he knows exactly what to do with all of us, but that he is one of the few people who believes propecia caused our problems, is interested in our condition and willing to help us, and is a leading specialist in his field. I’d much rather weigh my options with someone like him than with my last urologist, who began our last meeting with “Well, I’d hate to put you on TRT at such a young age (20), but…” I’ve seen some positive signs in the past two months, so I will try to hold out and see what further good news the next six months of a dedicated diet/exercise regimen can bring. Hopefully, my condition will solidify some of the noticeable improvement by the one year-mark (next December), at which point I’ll go see Dr. Crisler to discuss what I could do to finally reach the promised land.
Thank you man. Thank you. At least someone that is not living in denial. Dr. Crisler has the ability AND the patience and desire. Go see him everyone if you can afford it. The more the better chance we all have.
Great post!
Boston, you are such an idiot.
I thin i was not clear (sorry, bad english…)
I have no doubt that Dr. John Crisler (and so many others) are trying to help us.
This is very good, since a lot of so reputable doctor simply say that’s all in our heads. Dr. Crisler and Dr. Shippen are probably the best doctors in the world for TRT, and have huge clinical experience which is a big plus.
The point is no ones Knows what finasteride do in some people… I clearly never see anybody who recover 100%. We continue trying new doctors, new tests, just because i do not want to give up…
If you go to Dr. Crisler forum
musclechatroom.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2
ande search for his last video, he recognize the problem finasteride is ("…guys from yahoo forum are suicidal…") and say finasteride afect “hormone pathways”. “So avoid finasteride”. “There are people who simply took it for one week and develop all the symptons…”
Even he do not have a ideia what fin made to us.
We can have multiple theories. I was googling and find that prolatin (normaly elevated in most propecia sufferers) have a role in prostate androgen receptor expression: “… Prolactin increase strome androgen receptor in the prostate independently of elevations in circulating androgens” physiology.gu.se/endo/Disser … ndblom.pdf
So perhaps our body is trying to react to the killing finasteride action in prostate tissue… Perhaps… Maybe… Probably…
We need a real scientific research aproach. I think that universities that research prostate disease may help. But we need to organize…
Dr. John Crisler video (which talk about finasteride):

If someone could save the this video it will be good to show to our doctors. The video will not be there for much time, so it’s better store it.
The powerpoint is already in his website:
allthingsmale.com/MOA2.ppt
I repeat that i recognize the effort that Dr. Crisler is putting with propecia patinets. The problem is that nobody knows what hapened. We must recognize this and take a diferent aproach.
