Advice Please doctors are ignorant

Well let me start by saying that I am shocked about the ignorance of the medical field!
Now here is my story, I was always an excessive masturbator, doing it from 3 to 5 times a day and sometimes 10 on a bad day :), whether I have had any erection problems before propecia is in the distant memories so i am not sure but I remember always being horney, after taking propecia in 2007 I remember not feeling any side effects, I bought it because it was being hailed in the website hairlosshelp.com and some people have said that they have been taking it for years and are fathering children and they appeared safe to me and I never had any sides and I remember getting an erection as soon as I got a thought, then 3 and a half years later of moderate hair loss results I decided to stop the drug since it costs and its results are not worth the side effects that may appear “in the distant future”, however when I stopped the drug I had a libido injection, erections became much stronger and I remember getting all these wild sexual dreams and my life seemed to be back to normal and I had that success rate for 8 months, people here seem to mention 2 weeks and then the crash comes.
After 8 months, my wife left to the philippines and I was alone therefore the masturbation habbit came strongly, and I remember even masturbating 5 times in 2 hours, and manually stimulating myself for 8 hrs without releasing as I was out of work in that time, then suddenly something strange happened, I would get a pain under the scrotum “in the muscles there” it is like a pressure pain and my erection has disappeared, it is like youth impotence, and Premature Ejaculation came after 20 seconds of manually stimulating myself and my sexual satisfaction was almost non existent without the stimulation, I travelled to my wife for 1 month and couldn’t have sex with her even with Viagra and an injection of Nebido, it seems an erection cannot exist!
Here are my symptoms:

  • Impotence
  • Pain in the scrotum
  • Complete loss of morning erections/ Any erections whether sexual or non sexual

I did some blood work and the hormones were normal, testosterone was on the lower side 464, and the rest were normal (ofcourse FSH and LH were low after the Nebido shot which I am planning not to take again)
I didnt get any Propecia side effects that seem to be mentioned here:
-No Brain Fog
-No urinary issues whether Pain/Dribbling/Loss of emotion…it is all normal
-Hairloss came back (which i couldnt care less about now)
-I feel great mentally and after Propecia i can focus better and became smarter and better looking for some reason, while on propecia people thought i was on cocaine.

So my question is, it is seems that my problems are Penis related with a pain during stimulation that seems like a pressure, I am completely ignorant when it comes to terms, organs and definitions so I am hoping that any of this will sound familiar to any sufferer.
and one more thing, my libido is quite high.
Thanks

Anyone??? I need some help :frowning:

What I mean is

NO
Mental Sides
Numbness
Crash
Prostate Issues
Muscles Weakness
Shrinkage

Or anything like that, until now I dont know if I am suffering from ED from Propecia as my sides started 8 months after quitting or due to sexual exhaustion as mentioned in the website cure-erectile-dysfunction.org

I get this pain in the muscles it is like my PC muscle is weak due to squeezing it to increase the erection! but no classic propecia sides but I dont have an erection, it is youth impotence, even with Viagra it doesnt work!

Did anybody experience this! My blood tests cannot be credible now as I have taken a Nebido injection which didnt make a difference!

Oh yea i think i have PC muscle weakness, but i dont know! But it seems my situation is even unique to sufferers

See a urologist and get some tests done. Could’ve been a pre-fin problem that propecia exacerbated.

I did with blood tests, ultrasounds, semen and urine!

I was prescribed only Vitamin E

What exams tells?
I’m prescribed only vitamin E too, i did ultrassound and my prostate shrunk a litle.

I did the LH, FSH and Testo and they were all normal but my testo was on the lower range but still within the range and after the Nebido shot for boosting my LH and FSH dropped but I was told from multiple sources that it is a normal reaction

Anyway, the doctors didnt know what I had but they prescribed the supplements that a Peyronies Disease sufferer takes, as still I dont know exactly where the pain is coming from PC muscles is my guess! it is under the penis in the muscles there! I dont even know if my problem is related to propecia as I dont have anything else mentioned here!

Then consider yourself lucky and try not to obsess over things. You probably have no need for this site if that is the case and should focus on other issues / causes for your situation, especially as you state your one issue came about 8 months after stopping the drug which is not consistent with most men who end up with PFS (endocrine crash/Testosterone drop within weeks of quitting).

I consider the rest of you luckier than me, as I explained before I cant even get an erection weak or strong and most of you can!

Uhm, no… the vast majority have longterm issues with erections, impotence, loss of libido and decreased ejaculate. Not surprising considering the sexual organs are severely impacted by Finasteride due to location of 5AR2 specifically in those tissues, amongst others.

Anyway, if you “don’t know if your problem is related to Propecia”, probably best to look elsewhere. The guys here KNOW their issues are directly related to the drug, before/after is like night and day, and like you said, getting issues 8.5 months after stopping does not fit the typical timeline for persistent side effects.

why do you say in your main post that your libido is quite high? you mean you have sexual urges, but nothing functions correctly?

and this sounds a lot like PFS with all your sexual problems that you have. considering you took propecia in the past… you probably have PFS… i don’t see anything that’s really unique about your case that wouldn’t rule it out, everyone has different cases

Does PFS involve pain in the PC muscles? and whats PFS anyway?

Yes my libido is very high but it doesn’t translate into an erection, and when it starts a pain starts to come that comes from under the scrotum in the muscles there!

post finasteride syndrome… and other people have had pain in different regions of their pelvis… no one knows for sure what the cause is, except that propecia/finasteride started it

Review the main site propeciahelp.com and click the “POST FINASTERIDE SYNDROME” link on the top menu for more information.

Please review all the links so you better understand the condition, it doesn’t seem you have any concept of what this site is about.

well here is a quick update, I have suffered from post finasteride effects since last august, it started with my penis going limp during sex and has escalated to pain in my pc muscles, impotence, slight brain fog, fatigue, ear buzzing, muscles tremors and twitching, blurry vision, etc the list goes on. Like everybody I started to panic and checkd every website their is, on this forum i couldnt reach any solution, just a couple of advisable blood tests and diets, the blood tests as well as mri, emg, prostate checking, and ultrasounds on the penis all came back normal, and still not a single doctor knew what was happening to me, I did however suspect that my problem could be sexual exhaustian because of overmasturbation, I was advised here to avoid abstinence to keep the organ alive and doctors told me that “you can masturbate until you go blind” so I was left in the same cycle of torture without any progress.
Until one day I stumbled upon a website called cure.erectile.dysfunction.com, by dr richards, the website did offer a few supplements and explained the effects of overmasturbation, so after 5 months of misery i took the decision to stop sexual activities for 1 month and alter my diet, as a result my brain fog disappeared, the brain fog that I felt was kind of drinking a couple of beers without actually drinking them, like hangover 24/7, and i noticed my first morning hardness, no erection though but it was harderr then before, muscle tremors and twitching almost disapeared and fatigue also subsided, the remaining problem is the libido, It has always been an addiction to masturbate, i used to masturbate 10 times a day
average, i noticed that the semen has come back white and thick and the quantity has increased, i havent recovered my 100% erection yet and still the libido is average.

my diet contains avocados, carrots, apples, oranges, lettuce, berries, skim milk and yogurt, green tea, broccoli and bananas, sweet peppers and water melon.

I eat cooked boiled vegetables, whole wheat, pasta , oatmeal and nuts.

I eat seafood, chicken and on special occasions lamb and liver.

I have avoided coffee, fast food restaurants, cans, sugar, margarine, alcohol and white flour products and salt.

I only take zinc, magnesium and macca supplements.

Maybe it will take time but it is worth to mention that my recovery hasnt stopped and is getting better with time.

Good luck, hope you get better.

Can u point me to your tests?

Thanks

yea it was testosterone, lh, fsh, prolactin, full blood count, vitamin d, electrolytes, glucose, cholesterol and iron.

I still stand by my previous post on this matter as you yourself had doubts if you were even suffering from the same problem we are:

PFS has nothing to do with “overmasturbation”. Refraining from whacking off is not going to change the drug’s effects of 5AR2 inhibition and androgen deprivation.

Regardless whatever your issue is, or whatever you believe it to be, if you are feeling better then that’s great and hope you can move on from this period in your life.
