I like this. I would be happy to contribute,
In my opinion if the goal is to attract more visitors to Propeciahelp, we should focus on this. My suggestion:
“If you or a loved one is suffering from PERSISTENT, UNRESOLVED SEXUAL, MENTAL or PHYSICAL SIDE EFFECTS from FINASTERIDE 1MG for hair loss, please visit PROPECIAHELP.COM”
That’s it… If a researcher himself reads the ad, he will visit the site if this interests him… No need to ask for researchers in the ad, we’re not offering any compensation. Also, you can’t tell all in the ad, you have to make people curious. So just say what is necessary. Anyone who is taking Propecia and is not aware of the risks will want to know more, it is just a matter of making the information available.
I agree with correiovip.
Let’s just do it. If you need funding, spstriken just tell us. We need to do the ad as soon as possible to get things going.
I think this would be a waste of money.
Print media is dying on its arse, and advertising in it (I used to work in this sector) is not cost effective for this kind of thing. Unless you’re talking a classified ad, which will not be seen by anyone.
Direct your energy towards getting media awareness. That generated by the Irwig story, Men’s Journal, the BBC etc is worth far more than an advert.
Write about your PFS experiience in a popular general interest forum as opposed to the usual hormones and hairloss places. Just an idea.
Save the cash for funding research.
This.
i think only scientists can save our ass.
we have to catch their attention…
i am not sure an add is really efficient for this purpose but i think i like the idea for
just contributing to general awareness, and may be bringing more lost souls on the forum.
for the scientists, we should target them more precisely.
make a list of labs specialised
- in endocrinology
- immunnology
etc.
and send them by e-mail a good and well done report/booklet, something which summarise and present
the interesting aspect of the adverse events:
A document that shows the scientific interest of our cause, arguing that it could improve our knowledge in endocrinology,
urology, immunlogy and sexology (which is true!)
I would welcome more suggestions.
how about running ad on TV chanals?
Why don’t you target only the New York Times? It is probably more expensive but one add would get world wide coverage since it is read online by people all over the world and, more importantly, it is read by highly educated and influential people.
NY times would be a very good target
si better imao advertise on scientific journals
better is try to contact universities researchers and see if some
is going to help
this will cost nothing to us
someone already did it in some way
classic.the-scientist.com/community/posts/list/844.page
and look at this
propecia.researchtoday.net/archive/8/3/543.htm
is a merck friendly site?
Advertise in scientific journals?
We are talking about straight up media awareness here - aiming for newspapers such as NY times is absolutely prime.
Of course, contact with researchers and university is essential but that is not ‘advertising’ as such.
of course awarness is good but i thought that researchers were our primal target.
imao we heve to motivate them.
