Problem with cortef (or any other corticosteroid) is that it may interfere with libido through lowering testosterone. This isn’t unversal but it’s something to keep in mind. I’ve been on topical corticosteroid for years and they have tremendously helped managing symptoms of excess inflammation. Tapering off is also necessary to avoid potential withdrawal symptoms.
The amount of cortef you take is just to get to physiological levels, it should not cause a drop in testosterone.
