I recently noticed a substantial amount of acne/skin irritation on the upper parts and backs of my arms. I have also noticed some acne by my receding airline. Is any of this due to my time spent on propecia and/or my now coming off of it? FYI, I was on for 1.5 yrs. and have been off now for a month. Thanks guys.
Could be due to rebounding DHT levels (be glad if that’s the case) since sebum production/oil glands are controlled by androgens.
This happened to me as well. My skin turned pinkish in a way and I cant tan near as easy. Mainly starts up when i get hot or exercise. I am going back on proscar. When i was on, i had no side effects other than hot flashes i thought…but i still get them 2 months after stopping proscar, so I know that it wasnt proscar. Quitting caused me more harm than good. My skin was never like this before i quit
ShaneA655 - When I’m taking extasy or drink alcohol I’m happy and feel great. When I stop I get worse and have a hangover. Does it mean that I should drink and take extasy all the time?

Shane, if you plan on getting back on Finasteride, probably no need for you to stick round these parts. Good luck and hope it goes well for you despite everything you’ve experienced since taking it. Personally I think you’re crazy to even consider taking it again, but it’s your life and nobody can stop you from destroying yourself if you truly choose to do it.
Are finasteride and acne inversely related i.e. finasteride gets rid of acne or are acne and balding commonly seen together?
