A Week Later and a Year Later

Hi Everyone

Here are my blood tests a week after I quit, and a year after i quit. N/A means the test was not done at that point.

You can definitely see changes in some values over that time.

Currently the only 2 that seem to be out are Testosterone and Free Testosterone, but I’d be interested to have your opinion.

Cheers.

What did your doctors say?

What period were these values taken, 1 week off or 1 year off? Your DHT is close to double the top end of the range.

Mew,

The doctor said, your testosterone is low for a man your age, and your DHT is higher than the normal range. According to him the blood tests didn’t appear so whacky that he would prescribe drugs just yet.

He said that if he were to tackle this problem using typical medicines, the drugs he prescribed would do more harm than good. He suggested I consult this forum, to see what you guys made of my blood tests, and attempt a natural recovery. If I am unable to make a natural recovery he says he will start with a relatively mild drug (a gel that I would apply to my skin, I think he said my nuts) that will, in the medium term, not result in atrophy of my testicles, and a dependence on TRT in the long term, and then take it from there.

I’m hesitant to take that route, based on other forum members non success. What do you make of my bloodwork Mew?

MartinM,

Those results are from a year later. I thought a higher DHT is a good thing?

Sorry I missed this thread when you responded. I think it’s strange that you have lower end testosterone and bioavailable testosterone, in the bottom half of the range or lower, and you have DHT that’s double the top of the range. This seems to go with the DHT insensitivity theory. However I also saw in your story that you were taking creatine also, when was that in relation to your blood tests?

MartinM,

I took Creatine for the month of September 2010. I had the blood tests taken in June 2011. So about 8 or 9 months break between useage and tests.

symptoms?

Symptoms what? You may like to read my story here:

Siliva cortisol would be good along with a range for your blood cortisol.
