Hello All,
I’m a 35 yo male who took Propecia for most of 2011 (can’t remember how long exactly). I want to share with you my story of recovering (in process). In severela months afer stopping Propecia, all the symptoms of pfs developed. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong with me and much longer to find a proper doctor. Now it’s been a year on treatment on Clomid and my health is slowly improving. When I fist took Clomis, it made things even worse (even though my testosterone went up above the normal value). It took over month until my I’ve seen an improvement. It was incredible, I felt better than I felt before taking Propecia. That state did not last forever, but, although I have ups and downs, I feel generally better. I can have a more or less normal life now. I don’t want to give you false hope and I don’t claim it’s a miraculous cure for every case of PFS. My endo claims that much depends on how long a patient was taking finasteride. Clomid probably can help some patients, others may need another subtance. But from what I observed in my case, raising T-levels does make a difference. So at least there is something than can be done. As I said, I don’t consider myself fully recovered and I am far from saying there is a definite cure - I have recently started reducing dose of CLommid under my endo’s supervision so it’s along way before me. Anyway, by sharing my story with you, I wanted to tell you: don’t give up, at least there is something that can be done about pfs.
Ok, that’ll be it. Sorry for not giving more details, but it is very hard for me to write about this. I don’t know if I will find strength to reopen the forum and see if anyone replied to my post, but I had to share my story with those who have lost their hope. Once more: don’t give up!
Best of luck to you all.
