A guy on another site offered me a cure for fin sides

Here is the pm convo. Make of it what you will. I should note, he did not try to charge me or point me to specific site to purchase products.

Recovery,

I’m “nidhogge” on the forum.

Thank you. I tried to look through those site but theres a lot of information. I dont care about my hair anymore. I’ve been living for over 4 months with no libido and barely any ability to get an erection. Can you please direct me to the information I need to correct this? Did you suffer from propecia and manage to fix it?

Thank you

Hey bud,

I posted in your thread two things that will go a long way to fixing it, but I’ll repost here:

Start supplementing on 10,000 IU of Vitamin D3 a day:

Why Vitamin D-3?

Iodine (Lugol’s Solution 5%). Take 5-10 drops a day, in some water or juice or whatever suits you. Iodine is something that most of us are deficient in as it’s lacking in the western diet (Japanese have TONS of Iodine in their diets due to their high seaweed intake, and thyroid problems are nonexistant over there). Supplementing on Iodine will help get your thyroid back in order, which in turn will start churning out the hormones your body needs for homeostasis:

Shop around a bit, you may be able to find that for between $10 and $20 online.

You can also take tabs, but it’s a bit more pricey:

Shoot for 25mg a day for a few months. You may get what’s referred to as a Herxeimer Reaction for a few weeks…this is generally an increased body temperature. It’s temporary, and not a bad thing.

Why Iodine?

It’s an anti-estrogen, and plays a huge role in hormonal regulation within your body.

Ecklonia Cava Extract

eckloniacava.com/online_store.html

I mentioned this to you in the thread as well, but Ecklonia Cava is one of the strongest natural antioxidants on the planet, bar none. This is because it is an undersea vegetation, as opposed to land-based. As a result, it’s 40% fat soluble (antioxidants are generally water-soluble), and has a half-life of 12-14 hours in your bloodstream as opposed to 30 minutes from typical antioxidants. Folks have stopped using Viagra because of this stuff!

Other things to consider:

  • NOW Maca at a few grams a day (or some organic source online of Maca)
  • Butea Superba
  • Sustain Alpha LiquiVade
  • Magnesium Oil

But…try to focus on the first list. It does get pricey, I know, but reversing the damage that these drugs have done to our bodies ain’t easy man.

Thanks for the post, more supplements to consider for people interested.

I just bought that Iodine online about a week ago. I have only taken it a few days. I did read that the two most needed items in a person with a thyroid problem are Tyrosine & Iodine.

Fortunately both are inexpensive. I still wonder if these will just be a band aid and we may actually need real thyroid hormone either synthetic or a Armour/ Nature thyroid product.

Bostonusa’s link on the 19 overlooked symptoms of adrenal fatigue stated that 1/4 to 1 teaspoon of salt in water might help with electrolyte imbalances that cause adrenal fatigue. Based on that I threw out my old salt and replaced it with iodized salt. 1/2 teaspoon a day in water supplies approx. 100% of iodine. I have been using it semi-regularily. I figure for a couple cents a day I can help my thyroid and my adrenals.

Be careful with iodine. I had a few day honeymoon effect then it stopped and I was very fatigued. Could be I had too much for me but now I have to watch even eating oysters.

I had an amazing reaction when I first started taking iodine and then, like you, it lost it’s effectiveness. How much were you taking? I’ve heard that in some cases it may take as much as 50mg a day to feel better.

I was only taking a very little bit, drop form, don’t remember the exact amount but it was 1/10 the recommended dosage. I started off at the suggested dosage for 2 or 3 days.

I’ve been researching iodine and I found that when you take it, you can develop side effects of a bromide detox. Kinda like “die off” symptoms of bromide being released into your blood.

Another person has a comment on negative reactions to iodine… if correct, I guess he’s saying you have a heavy metal issue. Have you ever tried other heavy metal detox’s with any good reactions?

What do you think martin? Did you have any noticeable effects from those listed if you remember when you took iodine? This was a while ago so I’m guessing you don’t remember… if anyone else has recently took it, you’re input could be helpful.

I know a case temporarily recovered 100% with Iodine.

Also you guys want to check out the “Thyroid basics sticky” from the T natiom forum. There are many people like PFS sufferers there.
Almost identical symptoms

Iodine not for all. My free T4 came 1.93 (0.93 - 1.71) 2 weeks ago, normal TSH. If people like me suppliment iodine we will die.
