A freaked out, but quick question.

I hope this is the right spot for this, I only took propecia for a week. And obviously after finding this site I don’t take it anymore. I was just wondering if a week is long enough to suffer any long term effects. When I was on the drug I wasn’t as horny. But I can still get erections with prodding or with my girlfriend. But it feels mroe labored. My semen also seems far more watery. So are the chances good that I will go back to normal, I wont get any worse right? I’m sorry if this is annoying, but I’m a pretty scared 17 year old at the moment. who would like to have a fully working dingus.

Thanks for the info, it seems like I am getting better I just hope this continues.

Isn’t 17 a bit too young for fin?

i meant there’s no guarantee that one week cant cause long term damage but i would give it a few weeks before you determine anything. the good thing is you can still get erections and still have sex drive plus it doesnt seem like you are suffering from any sort of hormonal or adrenal physical and mental issues that a lot of us have. I know for me I had a ton of ED problems while on the drug for three weeks that all pretty much cleared up within a few weeks of stopping it. However, the other hormonal issues have yet to cease and have only gotten worse, i honestly think you’ll be ok just give it a few weeks before you make any conclusions.

What can I say early hair loss is a bitch, but I just don’t care anymore. I’de rather go bald than be flacid my whole life. I’ve also quit rogain, this is just for the birds. Can side effects continue to get worse after you quit taking propecia? If the answer is no that would qwell a lot of fears I have. It definetly seems like I’m getting erections a lot less than before I took it, but I can still get them fairly easily. I just have to be in a stimulating situation. It may be getting better but it’s hard to tell honestly. I’m so glad I found this site, if I hadn’t I would still be on that shit.

For some here, yes they did, but that often corresponded with a crash in Testosterone levels a few weeks after coming off the drug. But over time people have also made improvements. But in general, getting “turned on” or being able to get hard is much more difficult for those of us here, after Finasteride… despite what Merck says about things going back to normal.

I would advise you to get the bloodwork as outlined on this site so you can see what’s going on with your body, its the only way to be sure and to have some proof if things are out of whack and you don’t feel right.

Yes, that is indeed the next step. Is there a FAQ on blood work by chance?

I see you did not read the FAQ at top of site. There is also a list in the Hormones & Bloodtests section. Look in each area of the site and you will find your answers.
