Ok here is my story, excuse the English, grammar as im typing this on my phone.

I starred taking proscar for hair loss – results where great – but who cares about that!

I started to feel very unemotional like my personality was drained and I couldn’t give a fuck about anything.

My general outlook on life was ‘ I’m not bothered do whatever you want cause I don’t care’

My sex life decorated as I didn’t want sex anymore and it became a chore – but I was too much of an idiot to click the tabs to any of these side effects.

I go to the gym every day and used to be in great shape – that’s near enough gone – however hard I worked out I would lose muscle – tabs again (theme developing here!)

I would go in rages with people, after a drink I was a nightmare abusive to people (not physically) just out when pissed – tabs maybe (well hopefully)

Anyway I have been like a zombie and my long term girlfriend split citing the reasons above – so I googled the symptoms above and up popped your page – first thing I did was put tabs in bin and start to get my life in perspective.

To be honest I’m feeling ok, felt really dizzy and body was shaking and twitching all the time last week but also felt like I could feel emotion – its weird and freaking me out at the moment – cause I’m realizing what the hell have I don’t for the last 9 years!

Got my sex drive back – well it feels that way at the mo and I have been waking up with morning glory which aint happened for ages!

Anyone thinking or still taking that piece of crap (fin, proscar, propecia) seriously fuck it off now as it will ruin you life and make you unaware of everything falling to pieces around you.

If you want hair get a transplant that doesn’t mess up your body and its make up – this stuff is dangerous and should be banned.

I hope I can continue to recover and get life back on track – feeling positive now and my heart goes out to the people with permanent symptoms (I may crash and burn – who knows).

you are lucky you did not get any serious physcicall sides. Be thankful to your God and please come here occasionally to give updates.

Agree. The shinkage and numbness is enough to push you over the edge if you dwell on it for more than a fleeting moment. I try to put it out of my mind. Glad to see you’re finally off Fin. Shame on the doctor who perscribed it to you at 20. Dont feel bad, we all panicked about our hair back in those days. Seems everywhere I look now is a guy with shaved head with an attractive girl. I really don’t think anyone here has any desire for a hair transplant anymore. Funny side note, I went to a hair transplant doc and I told him of my Fin sides back when I was still taking it. He told me he had OVER 1000 patients on Fin. There’s 1000+ time bombs waiting to go off. He was actually training 2 other hair transplant docs when I brought it up. They were also there in the office. Of course, he basically blew me off.

My hair gain on Fin was pretty substantial too. Thing is your side effects when off can then be equally substantial. There’s a coorelation. I also existed pretty well while on Fin. Minor shrinkage and some ED. Of course I believed the company line that it would all go back to normal after Fin so I didnt worry and continued to take it for 15 months. The bottom really fell out 4 or 5 weeks after I quit. Take very good care of yourself over the next several months. Do not masturbate too much. I crashed after masturbating one day 3 times. Kind of embarassing to admit… but if it helps someone I dont care.

Dont worry I am thankful, I almost felt bad coming on here posting this but I wanted to show people they can stop taking it now and still recover or at least get some of there life back!

I have lost a lot and messed up a large part of my life - but I am thankful i found this advice and saw the light!

Still have issues with muscle pain and slightly spaced out but hopfully that will get better over time.

Just to make sure I havnt drunk or smokd for two weeks and been going for daily jogs (somehow I think that may help clear my head!)
