I have been off Propecia for 4 months. Every single day of my life I wake up and I can barely open my eyelids which are very very heavy. My vision is blurry, and I’m shaky, for the rest of the day, my body aches very badly, it’s hard to keep my eye lids open yet I can’t just fall asleep. When I was on Propecia I still had symptoms but The exhaustion/Weakness wasn’t as bad. Now the simplest of things like walking up a flight of stairs is nearly impossible! I don’t have any sexual side effects only the ones I listed above. Is this normal? Why is this happening still at 4 months off???
you have to wait it out… you are lucky that you still have your face. Usually symptoms like tiredness and lack of energy become beter over time… you have to wait it out. dont stress your body too much, eat healthy.
This is an intense weakness/fatigue, feel like I could fall over when talking to someone. Eyes are very heavy and closing and body has flu like aches. Been off P for 4 months.
I totally understand what your going through. Many of us here would trade you in a heart beat. Have you tried any sleeping pills like Remeron, Ambian?
Ambien works on the same GABA receptors as propecia. Is this weakness/fatigue body aching normal?
I have it. Its slowly getting better. Have you had any blood work done. If this is your only side maybe a good doctor will find something. Me personally… I don’t think I am getting long enough or deep enough sleep. Is that how your feeling… No matter how much sleep you get you don’t feel rested?
Everyday I wake up I have skin burning, I toss and turn all night and have cold sweats all night, my eye lids are very heavy, my right bicep is always tight, eyes are blurry, pure exhaustion and trembling, weak. Can barely do simple things, can’t work out.
I think each person heals from this a bit differently. Do you have anyone helping you? I think you still have a good shot at beating this if these are your only sides. But to answer your question, yes what your describing is common among us. Fatigue, insomnia (poor sleep), my skin lost sensation across my entire body. I only had the hot flashes for one night after my crash.
Have you already tried Xanax? Or valerian root? I wish I had some more helpful information for you. The fatigue is killing me to bro.
Why can’t I sleep and is my body severely fatigued? When I toss and turn at night I get very little sleep and I wake up and can barely open my eyelids cause they are so heavy. Then I have cold sweat the rest of the day and am so weak. I’m almost 4 1/2 months off of Finasteride.
If you eat carb or sugar it will affect your sleep immediately. Cut them.
How long until the Weak/Fatigue stops? the trembling? the fact I can wake in the morning? The insomnia? I have been off of Finasteride for 4 1/2 months!
Unfortunately I don’t think anyone has a definitive answer for you. Have you tried any sleep medication to see if it helps at all? I know for me it helps me sleep longer but I still don’t fell refreshed in the morning like a normal person.
Every morning I was me up I have chills, my hands tremble, skin burns, can barely open my eyes. I have awful insomnia, when are these Groundhog Day symptoms going to stop!?
I’m almost 5 months off and still have the horrible fatigue. When I wake up in the morning I can barely open my eyelids, my vision is blurry and I can barely walk. Takes me about an hour to feel slightly better. Then during the day I crash at random times, I mean weakness and exhaustion where I can’t think clearly or function at a high level. Do you think it’s still from the Propecia?
Absoulutely.
Yes it is from Propecia. Not sure why this is the only symptom you have. I do know how fucked it is.
I don’t have any sexual side effects, I tremble from weakness and exhaustion, and my body aches. How long does it take to recover from this stuff and get my energy back? My doc says that it’s adrenal fatigue and hypothyroid yet my saliva test was within normal ranges and so was t 3 and t4 thyroid. It seems every day is like groundhog day and I can’t shake the heavy eye lids exhaustion and weak body feeling. Thoughts?
Are you dropping muscle mass? I am pretty sure you will eventually recover somewhat from this. Have you had any sexual stimulation since this started? This seems to be a common trigger for a full crash. You might want to refrain from that until your fatigue lifts. What about emotional connection? Can you watch TV and stay interested? My initial blood work showed Low T. Second test came back normal. I still have fatigue but it doesn’t sound as bad as yours.
you are very lucky… i envy you. I would assume that the fatigue will go away. Maybe you can try a water fast, it cures mental problems sometimes.
