3rd try: I have been using Finasteride and am concerned.

Hello,

I’ve created two other posts that have not been approved over the last week and half or so. I started using finasteride .5 mg (half of that) 6 weeks ago. A month ago or so I started noticing after eating I’d get dizzy/lightheaded/hazy feeling. A bit shaky. I chucked it up to hypoglycemia which I was never diagnosed with. Tested for diabetes, no diabetes. Have symptoms of hypoglycemia. No sexual issues. But the feeling of shakiness, lightheaded, dizzyness happens after I eat and for a few hours thereafter.

Has anybody else experienced this? I haven’t taken the medication for 4 days and am still feeling it.

Hi, I noticed that during PFS eating would cause worse mental symptoms, which is slightly in line with what you’re saying.

I also found that digestion is altered while on Fin and during PFS, which I assumed was down to 5 alpha reductase’s role in bile acid synthesis (hindawi.com/journals/au/2012/530121/)

I also had a diabetic symptom (huge, unquenchable thirst) whenever I played sports. I assume the sport-playing raised my testosterone, which by some unknown mechanism made me thirsty.

You say you have no sexual sides, do you have any mental sides? Or any other physical symptoms other than feeling dizzy after eating? If so you’re perhaps an interesting (and fortunate) case.
