I took Proscar, which I divided into five parts, one part a day, for about six months, around 6-8 years ago. I can’t really tell. I stopped using it because I felt lazy about it.

I can’t exactly tell when my problems really started. But I was fully impotent at some point and totally failed at simple tasks. I have a high IQ and I’m used to finishing relatively simple tasks quickly. But for years, I have been suffering from heavy brain fog and other mental issues. I failed my first tour at university. I failed a job. I’m not doing good at my second tour. Issues with depression, impotence/ED and especially brain fog really hit me hard.

Luckily, my sexual problems seem to be getting better.

I just found this forum this evening after spending last week and especially today in doing my own research. I was nearly there on my own, establishing my own hypothesis about the relation of finasteride to my problems. I was about to write letters to people who had conducted studies in the 90ies and so on. Then I found this forum, and oh well. Mixed emotions.

I’ll get some blood test results tomorrow, all I have so far is 419ng/dl of total testosterone (morning hours). Being 27, this isn’t exactly good, but it could be a lot worse. I’ll post more once I know it.

Keep posting on the forum Ahmed, I am glad you found it. Whereabout are you located?

I’ve been to a couple of endocrinologist, tried testo… but in the end it turned out to be something else.

I had an MRI taken. Inflammations in my brain. They also measured some nerve response times. It’s almost certainly multiple sclerosis.

I’m shaken and crashed pretty hard. Thankfully my girlfriend (MD) is around to help me, but she can only do so much.

I got the diagnosis on nerve response time on Friday, and made an appointment for MRI on Tuesday. The response times could have been caused by faulty readings, but the MRI is a different story. The radiologist didn’t even know she was the first to tell me, so you can imagine my shock. “You certainly had liquor sampling done before”. Just then she noticed that I it was news to me. I started to hyperventilate, even. I know exactly what MS can mean, my grandma had it. As bad as it was for her, she it was a mild case for her. So there I am…

Not sure how to go on with my life, things will likely get worse and worse, and they’re already not that good.

Thankfully, so far, higher doses of PDE-5 inhibitors do the trick for sex and I have a huge stockpile of these. I usually take 20-40mg of Vardenafil each night to ensure nocturnal erections and I take the same dosage before sex. Nocturnal erections are important, since I’m doing this my erections actually got harder. That’s the little bit of useful info I can share with you. Take a pill each night to ensure nocturnal erections, your penis might recover. Oh, and look into generics from India. India had a screwed up patent system and you can get all three PDE-5 inhibitors for cents a pill over there. Their big pharma companies all sell high quality generics, trouble is finding a good internet source that’s not scam. I pay 1-2$ per pill and they work just like the originals.

I will have liquor taken sometime in July or so, but my Birthday is coming up, I don’t really feel like going to hospital around that time and get a diagnosis. It still might something else (boreliosis e.g.), but I’m 99% certain it’s MS anyway. There’s no evidence for it being something else.

I might not even have suffered from Finasteride side effects at all. MS is something entirely different.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, sounds like this is something that runs in your family. Hopefully it’s only a mild case… stay strong and positive, you’ll get through it.

I am very depressed. people are not recovering even years after. I have already been thinking we are having some brain damage.

Ahmed I am sure you don’t have MS but yes brain inflammation is there. As I have been writing inflammantion might be possible in many parts of our body. My hypothesis is our main problem is in our brain.
some fin users are having non-functioning hypothylamus.Some are having difficulty in maintaining body balance.

metformin---->causes same problems as we are having----> crosses blood brain barrier
saw palmetto---->crosses blood brain barrier
fin----->crosses blood brain barrier
Accutane---->crosses blood brain barrier

what these fat health departments are doing. They are killing us with our money?
