2 days just looking for tips

So to start I would just like to say hi to everyone.

hairlosstalk.com/interact/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=69841

^ is my story and details to my issues. I am just looking for the best advice on things I can do to get my system back in order. I have read a few of the other posts and my major question is.

I am by no means in a panic state, but I feel there are plenty of people here who know a lot more about cases and the best steps to take. When I see people refer to not drinking I am assuming its alcohol. I have already talked to my girl friend about what is going on so she understand sex is out the window right now. I am just looking for any positive input anyone is willing to give.

For everyone dealing with long term effects I am truly sorry for everything you must have gone through. The moment I noticed something was wrong I decided to look and see what other people had to say. To be honest at first I figured it would be so unlikely that I would fall into that 2% chance of sexual side effects, but the more I look into this it seems the sexual effects seem to limit a lot more people then the 2% which is listed.

However I will admit its pretty scary a drug you take for two days can just totally wipe out your libido, it shocks me how so many people are accepting of this.

Also I see a lot of people talking about a “crash”. I am just wondering what people are referring to when using this term.

Thanks again

Note this is a rare reaction, as its early days for you, most likely you should be fine and no need to panic. Would advise not reading too much on this forum unless you end up with longterm issues which persist, which hopefully and most likely will not be the case.

Thank you very much Mew, I am not very worried or a person who freaks and or over thinks things. I was just shocked how within two days it could totally knock out my sex drive.

The 2% figure is the biggest crock of shit ever. I doubt even 20% of guys taking finasteride are side effect free. Watery semen and testicle aches are considered ‘standard’ for crying out loud. Once you are back to normal have a browse through the hair loss forums and you will see that almost everyone suffers side effects in some way. Many guys on those forums are also in huge denial or have dropped fin.

While you are recovering there is no need to do anything radical, like go on a special diet or start exercising like crazy. If anything that’s probably a bad idea. However, there are guys on here (myself included) who ‘crashed’ after heavy alcohol consumption and/ or masturbating a lot so i would say that over the next month try to refrain from masturbating or screwing your girlfriend too often and stay away from booze. TRY your best to just put the symptoms you are experiencing aside and get on with life as usual.

I am in the same boat as you expect I’m in a somewhat panic state. I dropped the pill two days ago and am doing everything I possibly can to bring my libido back. I’m taking 50mg of Zinc, 2 tablespoons of fish oil w/Vitamin D, eating broccoli and exercising everyday. I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching nutrition that promotes testosterone so i’m focusing my diet heavily on those types of foods.

How have your results been since your post?

I took propecia for the first time. I took it for 3 days and noticed these side effects and stopped immediately. Am I going to get back to normal.

Most likely. Don’t panic and try not to stress your system. If the sides don’t resolve in a month come back and post again.
