The 10th anniversary of the Vioxx recall is coming up tomorrow, Sept. 30.

Let’s have a moment of silence for the more than 38,000 people who lost their lives to Merck’s “miracle” drug.

In the meantime, the UK’s Pharmaceutical Journal has a excellent review of the Vioxx scandal in this month’s edition:

The possibility of another Vioxx is real because not all adverse reactions are known at the time a medicine is licensed. There are numerous medicines out there and we still don’t know their full risks.

Agree with Gelhead. And Merck knows it could be ruined by another Vioxx, which is why it will do ANYTHING to silence the PFS issue.

But we will not be silenced.

We shall shout the truth from above mountaintops on all four corners of the globe.
