I’m wondering if they ever find out the root cause of PFS will their be a single cure like a certain drug or treatment, or will it be so complicated it will involve many treatments with limited success ?
Our problems come from taking one single drug does it follow that by taking another drug we could reverse all the problems that fin has caused ?
It can’t be said for certain before we know the cause. What we can say is, there are people who have recovered completely from the most extreme forms of PFS we know of. This means the condition is NOT permanent genetic / cellular damage, and it SHOULD be at the very least treatable.
no one on this forum can give you that answer … opinions, sure, but nothing factual or that really matters … just stay optimistic, great things are happening right now
molybedenu is correct, 12 months ago I would forget every single word, couldnt recognize a famous actor on TV that I knew etc…this is slowly slowly slowly improving which would at the very least suggest something can be used to treat the condition.
I agree. On my hard days, I just remind myself that its never as bad as it was 12 months ago. I still have all the neurological symptoms, just to a slightly more manageable degree.
And yes, we can only speculate, but I do believe there will be a single cure for PFS. It may be multi-faceted, but it will work virtually the same for everyone. While we have SOME varying symptoms, we all have the same syndrome. Our bodies manifest it differently/less/more severe, but its the same thing.
12 months ago I barely had any sexual or fantasy thoughts, now pretty much all the time I have libido and desire. Everytime I question whether I have made any progress I remember the first 6 months and how horrible it was
