Seriously, where do these posts come from… come on “spstriken”, as if this is even possible, or you have the knowledge, equipment or capability to do scientific analysis on animal models (no offense, but none of us do)… really, stop “pulling our goat” (no pun intended)! 
This isn’t a forum for deluded fantasies… not to mention, no animal or human should have to be subjected to the effects of Finasteride, if they can help it.
I’ve already tried this. The goat pulled out of the trial on day three and flew to L.A for a hair transplant. Also, I’ve now been thrown out of my local goat herding association on charges of goat abuse.

I could not understand what is wrong with this exp. We can watch it libido and can treat it with drugs available like clomid or hcg or what ever is available in the market. We are already suffering like hell. I don’t know how long we will have to be like that ,maybe for the rest of the life.
It looks like fin effects are not as strong as Saw palmetto. Because all fin effecties are talking about sex drive and errection on the other hand I fighting for my life now. Sex has become secondary priority for me. I am loosing weight and strength with each passing day. joint pain and muscle pain some time become untoteralbe.
If you can’t understand what is “wrong” with this as an experiment, then you really need to think more about what you’re proposing before you type.
Let me break it down: This is completely unrealistic and unscientific.
I understand you are theorizing about how to investigate further, but NOBODY here has the capabilities to do this, and a goat or animal does not have the ability to tell you if its libido is going up or down… the only way you could measure something remotely similar is through control-based studies in a lab setting, which none of us have access to nor the medical/research knowledge to conduct. Hence why this is a pointless discussion in the end, unless YOU can find and fund a researcher who would take on such studies (the results of which may not even correlate to humans, possibly invalidating the entire experiment).
Its the other way around, I’m afraid… SP has mild 5AR inhibitor properties compared to Finasteride’s potency. Nonetheless since both agents act as 5AR inhibitors, it is likely the resultant reduction of DHT that is the common factor between the two.

No, this joker is an Indian originally from Kerala, living in Canada. Its normal for people to have goats and rams in that part of the world, but to inject them with HCG and testosterones and see their responses is kinda crazy for everyones standards!, i think he has officially lost it.

Ok guys I did not want to comment on it but my idea was to make visual observations like
1-weight gain /loss?
2- behavioral changes like aggressiveness or shyness towards other male rams etc.
3- sexual behavior towards sheep
4-whether it it active or more lazy now.
etc.etc.
there are many studies in which scientists have made just visual observations about rats or mice after treating them with meds.
this was not a random suggestion, my brother is pharmacist and that is how his team was experimenting on RAMs for new drugs. they use to record these all parameters along with blood tests. He is graduated and working with a pharmaceutical company.
True through this experiments we can not find the cure but at least could have proved that this 5AR caus massigve changes in males which are quite obvious.
I read on a website that when red clover was fed to RAMs they started lactating. I don’t remember the site maybe some body help, but my point is, it was just visual observation which proved red clover is strongly estrogenic.

I think the main point is, what would this achieve? I mean, we’ve already got real life case studies of fin doing damage, what are you to gain from having a goat have these problems? You don’t have a lab to study the finer details like penis tissue, semen etc. So what is the point?
The details are FAR too intricate to acheive anything from basic observation like you suggest. Especially with “treatments” as its such a delicate operation.
I still have a really funny mental picture of you feeding some goat finasteride though lol.
I reckon we line up a bunch of serious sex offenders and “feed” them with fin and document the issues. Atleast we’d be putting them to some use and probably castrating them at the same time.
