When did you start balding?

I starting losing my hair at 14 to 15, However just realized that was balding at 19, because it had no temples or crown, but diffuse homogeneous for nw 6. I started with finasteride 1 mg, had no sexual side in the first 2 years of use, by contrast, was very high libido, thought I was immune to the side effects, I decided to start with finasteride 5 mg, 1 mg as not holding my hair, after 3 months I had the crash accompanied by all the side effects of PFS. I have no social life because I’m afraid they discover that I am impotent, just one friend knows it.

I developed NW2 during puberty, and had significant thinning on the left side of the vertex when I was around 20 years old.

Minoxidil works for me, much better than finasteride, makes hairgrow on my diffuse. I had mature hairline at 17, but only this, my baldness is complete difusse.

Noticed thinning on the front of my head around 27.

I always had a large forehead however.

More people need to respond.

i noticed a very slight bit of thinning at the left side of my hairline when i was 28,my father is very thin on top so i panicked and found out through trawling the net there was a wonder drug called propecia,BIG MISTAKE…

28? Lucky, at 17 was already getting fucked.

my temples started to recede when i was 20, i took propecia 3 years later.

I crashed and got PFS at age 18. Around 24 I started really high dose TRT (500mg) and that is when I started getting a receding hairline. Up until then my hairline was perfect. I took Saw Palmetto for general health/pelvic floor, prostate though…

Interesting. So far, everyone who has responded in this thread, reported premature balding.

I think our youth inclines us to feeling more insecure about baldness. I know that when I was younger, I had the notion that baldness was a fact of life once mid-life rolled around. This is not to say that older gentlemen don’t feel insecurity over balding - I just feel that society has led us to believe that losing hair at a young age is more a “disease” than a naturally occurring event.

True. Btw, I also think that young men are more likely to experience sexual side effects from Propecia.

I was 17 now I’m 25 still balding but not that I care about it but it definately slowed the progress … because I know it’s an individual factor but I know lot’s of people who started at about 19 and have now the same status or even worse in between 2 years …

I started losing hair at 15, but today at 23 i still have hair, but much less than before. My brother are lucky, he start losing hair at 30! Youth had a hairy.

Around 21-22 I noticed the corners receding and a little thinning on the crown. Took fin 1mg at 26, maybe 27?

Around 20. Took fin at 23.

noticed at 18, took fin at 21… worst mistake of my life, still fucked 4ish years later

im a new memebr, looking at this post i understood ill be impotent for the rest of my life. I was losing a lot of hair since i was 19. turning 22 i decided to start propecia 1mg. the first days i lost a lot of hair, then i stopped taking the drug. now im impotent and my hair is very thick… no reasons to live anymore

How long have you been off the drug? A lot of people have improved with time - with or without treatments, and some people have recovered, which proves that the problem is reversible.
You should talk to other members. You’re not alone.
